First Post: Deciding to go Premium and Thoughts on Course 1

I just finished all 9 lessons in course 1. I already have experience using WordPress due to all the tech training I've been doing over the years so a lot it was a good review of everything that I've learned in online classes and training. WordPress is one of my favorite things about tech and its so easy to work with. I'll probably start customizing my site a bit with colors, fonts, and more in the next few days to find the right mood for my site.

My niche for my training is crafting. I kind of am cheating on this one since I write about crafting already on my other blogs, but crafting is where I get a lot of traffic to my site and especially on social media. I wasn't sure how specific to get with my niche so I did some research on Google on different kinds of crafts. I eventually settled on needlecrafting based on what categories I've seen on craft shops and craft sites. Needlecrafting includes cross stitch, felt applique, crochet, knitting, and much more. My plan was for a blog which reviews craft kits. This is something I do on my blog already where I write about the pros and cons for the craft kits I do.

I was initially worried I wouldn't find any keywords for my niche. So I was naturally curious to see what the keywords said when I started using Jaaxy. The keyword results surprised me since the traffic for some of the keywords were less than 50. I had to try some other key words, but I eventually found ones that were close to 50.

I just made it to course 10 and right now I'm not sure if I should upgrade to premium or not. I haven't made a decision yet. As of right now, I have a day left to think about the decision. Now that I'm doing with most of course 1, I'm going to check out the first lesson in the affiliate bootcamp or maybe add more content to my site (as well as putting some of my tech skills to good use) before I make a decision. My biggest fear which is making me think twice about going premium is putting in a lot of work and time but not getting results.

Results are something you can't guarantee for any business, but I'm just concerned I won't get anything. Not even $1. In tech, one of the biggest things developers talk about how important it is to make an investment in yourself. This often means paying for things which will pay off for me in the long run. I feel like I'm almost ready to make that investment. I just need to think about it a little more.

That's my first post here on the blog. After I take some time to think about it, I'll make a decision on what I'm going to do about premium. In the mean time, I'll just start adding content to my site and seeing what happens.

Thanks for sharing that. I think you have made a very wise decision in finding your niche and utilizing your gifts and knowledge of that craft.

On Premium though, there is so much more here for you if you choose to do so. I'm glad I did. Maybe this will shed a little more light on helping make the best decision: Blessings your way

Mike
