The Long Haul

Today is my 13th day at WA and I am struggling! I am unsure of my niche and I am worried about how I will push through and make it to the success I know is possible. I have run into many issues but I am not giving up.

Barriers to process

I have noticed there are what I call, barriers to process in anything that involves a complex effort.

A barrier to process is anything that hinders our ability to finish and continue what we have started so that we may reap the rewards of success.

It leads to stagnation, procrastination and ulitmately sometimes we give up in the midst of the unknown.

There are different ways to come against these barriers and to continue the journey of a thousand steps.

Documenting your progress

I have recognized that one of the biggest ways to push through doubt is to note progress.

When we note progress it shows us that what we are doing is worth it and we feel like we have the ability to "make it" one day.

This post is an ecouragement post and a note to those who in the slog.

Documenting is another way to create content and let your audience know that you are for them by showing them that you are human too.

This is an idea that I got from Gary Vaynerchuk.

Living a writing worthy life

Sometimes we have to be able to go out and get ideas from living a life of passion and sincerity. We need to be able to absorb the words that flow through our environment and compile them into a readable and useful manner for our audience.

Setting a writing timer and devoting our mornings and/or afternoons to writing and not trying to write all day long and make a day of writing will help cancel out writers block and take the sting out of burnout.
