Trust Your Struggle

Earlier today I read a seasoned member's post about trusting the process. His post spoke about how members often question him about the process and want to change it. My thoughts are if it is broke, why fix it?

I came to wealthy affiliates with knowledge in Web design and some slight knowledge of Affiliate Links. I have tried in the past to create affiliate link sites, fell on my face and have failed miserably. Looking back for the reason for my failure is that I didn't understand SEO completely which is an IMPORTANT step in the process.

As someone that has some sort of knowledge of web design, I have to stop myself and take two steps back throughout my training. I keep finding myself wanting to skip ahead instead of taking the steps one at a time. I've literally had forced myself to slow down. taker it a day at a time. A step at a time. When you rush a good thing it will be way to easy to skip an important step in the process.

Every day, I force myself to clean my previous knowledge slate and tackle this as if I am learning a brand new skill. Affiliate links work. But you have to set your site up correctly and follow the steps. There are no short cuts. I find myself focusing too much on the appearance of the site. (Of course I want it to look nice) I need to focus more on the content. Content is a very important step as it triggers the keywords. You can have the prettiest site in the world but if the content is not there, it won't be found on a search engine.

Does anybody else out there have some tips for staying on task and following the process one step at a time?
