My perfect day

A little about me before I dive into meat of my point. :) For 15 years, I worked from home. (I loved it by the way) I loved being able to not worry about what I looked like. I could spend my entire day in my pajamas if I wanted to. The downfall is, my business was fast paced and very stressful. I made and took a lot of phone calls, had to maintain my crew's schedules and had to deal with various personalities. I often worked 10-12 hours a day (and then some) I often woke up in the middle of the night because I forgot to do something or I was stressing about money because a vendor didn't send a check. Although I worked from home, I still had to answer to someone. We were independant contractors for a large box store. I had their management hounding me for install dates and times. It wouldn't matter if there was a blizzard, if I strayed from a schedule, I would have a store manager or a customer calling to scream about the install not happening with little regard to the safety of my crew.

About 2 years ago, I restructured our business and basically restructured myself out of a need to be involved in day to day operations. I thought it would be fun to go get a job outside of our business. Guess what is not fun? Having to take a job that I was way over qualified for because I was self-employed for 15 years and nobody wanted to touch me with a ten foot pole. Long story short, I got my foot in the door with a fortune 500 company as their receptionist. I figured they would see my work ethic and value and I would be zipping up the ladder in no time. I figured wrong. I am so good at my job and go above and beyond to the point that I am now "too valuable" and they refuse to move me in order to train someone else. "You are just so good at what you do!" I am watching people with less experience, eduacation and terrible work ethic get promotions. No I'm not bitter. I understand why it is happening. Honestly I am glad it is happening because I would have been too comfortable and would continue to be a slave to someone else's agenda.

Like many of you, I am here because I want something better for me and my family. I am here because I think outside of the box. I am here because I want to be on my own agenda. I don't want to be hokey, but I stumbled across this site on accident and I felt immediately like it was divine intervention. I was actually sending out resumes because I am not happy in my current position.(see paragraph above) I was on LinkedIN looking for a job and I saw a post about this web page.

Once upon a time I was interested in earning a living using affiliate links. It makes sense to me and I know it works! I just couldn't get from point A to point B so I got frustrated and gave up. I feel like I finally stumbled acorss the best place to learn HOW to do this properply without working in circles. I've read books and watched videos but all they were was about someone bragging about all of their money and only sharing a smidgeon of the knowledge needed to succeed (even after paying for the knowledge). I am so glad that I clicked on that link to this page. So why is my post called "My Perfect Day"? And how does stumbling upon this page relate to it? My friends , this is a building block. Let me get to the point.....

My perfect day would consist on waking up naturally on my own time. Not worrying about an alarm clock.

My perfect day would be being able to sit down and actually enjoy a cup of coffee silently on my own time and not rushing out the front door on someone else's agenda.

My perfect day is to live in my own agenda. No, I'm not being selfish. I am being real. I want to put as little or as much effort into this as I want to. What I make depends on my efforts not some set amount of payment that was stipulated by a corporation.

My perfect day would allow myself to have time to do the things that working in a corporate environment does not allow. I can do what I want; when I want without having to ask permission to "take a day off."

My perfect day may involve me, my lap top and my crazy imagination so I can finish my novels and finally start publishing again.

My perfect day might involve my crazy red hair being tossed in a messy bun and never changing out of my PJs.

My perfet day would involve me being able to watch my daughter recieve awards at school or help in her classroom. (Don't worry, I'll change out of my PJs first but I may still leave my hair in a messy bun)

My perfect day would be the reality that I am not living check to check by waiting on vendors to pay us becuase I would have multiple streams of income coming in.

My perfect day might involve me posting one of my Sassy Facebook Live videos educating my friends and followers about the benefits of going chemical free. (Don't worry, I will fix my hair and change out of my PJs for that!)

I think by now you can see where I am going with this? My perfect day might not be exactly what your perfect day is.. but I bet we all have the same idea... FINANCIAL FREEDOM!

I am looking forward to meeting new people here, sharing ideas and hopefully in the near future sharing a success story. A shout out to the founders of this!
