When The Universe Answers
I wanted to take a moment and share something really amazing that happened to me this afternoon.
First, a little back story. I have been feeling the prickling of self-doubt this past week - just not sure if I am on the right path, personally and professionally. During my morning meditation 4 or 5 days ago, I openly asked the Universe to send me a sign, just a little bit of reassurance that I was headed in the right direction - immediately after I said this, an image of a balloon in the sky came to me and I asked the universe to show me that sign in the form of a red balloon.
The thing about Universal energy is that it works best when you ask for what you need/want and then let go of any expectation or attachment to when or how it might show up. For the first couple of days, I had my eye on the sky - not intentionally, but it is hard to let go of expectation! I must have finally released my request completely, because I haven't given it much thought in the last day or so.
Fast forward to today - this morning I woke up in a bad mood. No reason in particular, just a little grumpy and not feeling good about myself or my endeavors. Then, on the dive to work this afternoon, I got this nudge to turn on some music (I usually listen to stand up comedy when I drive because the laughter keeps me from slipping into my alter-ego; Road Rage Rhonda). As I was scrolling through my Pandora stations, I got another nudge - to play a station I hadn't listened to in YEARS, it was an old-school punk rock station - a throwback to my high school days. I figured what the hell, and turned it on.
A few songs in, I started noticing a "theme" and then I got 2 songs back-to-back where the main message was "You are your own worst enemy". I was nodding and singing along and really feeling that the message was resonating with me, so I said to myself - Okay Universe, yes, I am my own worst enemy. My self-doubt is what is causing these roadblocks and hangups and I just need to let it all go.
Immediately after I had that thought, IMMEDIATELY- the song on the radio ended and a new one started -
99 RED BALLOONS!!! And it was some obscure punk-rock version that I had never heard before, what are the odds that THAT song would come on at THAT moment?
Maybe the Universe didn't send me a big 'ol balloon in the sky, but I think I got my answer - I am on my chosen path, but I need to get the hell out of my own way!
I am not a religious person, but I truly believe that there is a higher power of some kind, a Universal energy that connects us all. I also believe that we have the power to change our lives; that our thoughts, our intentions, and our feelings send signals out into the realms beyond ours and that we get back what we send out. The Universal Law of Attraction some call it.
Well, today I saw the Universe in action. It gave me my answer and I am so grateful for it.

Has it occurred to you that there is no external anything?
That YOU are primarily source energy and always a part of infinite intelligence; that you are part of the force that creates worlds?
You are always on your chosen path, you don't need to fabricate an assurance, from an external force that doesn't exist. You get to play this current experience anyway that you like. That's why you'e here.
The sky IS the perceived limit. Haha.
Yes, I am aware of the source energy that resides in me and in all of us - what a powerful feeling!
Yet, these concepts of infinite ability are difficult for human minds to grasp in their entirety and the ego has a way of making life seem more confusing than it is or needs to be. In those moments, asking for reassurance is a nice reminder that collectively I am not alone and that the force of the Universe - internal or external - is on my side.
Been doing (practising) this stuff a LONG time now.
In my experience; we can complicate things when we 'overthink' something.
Just a thought.

Creating a clear picture picture of what you do want without adding what you don't want is key. Easy to forget and say " I want to stop...." or " I don't want to...."
It is impossible to exclude what you don't want when it's the other end of the same stick. Best to just be easy about it all. Choosing the path of least resistance comes when we do something like pat the cat or walk the dog.
Yep, the Universe can give me anything we want...we just have to know how to ask for it. Sometimes I ask the right way, and sometimes I don't...where is consistency when you need it?
The human mind is both a tool of power and a tool of trickery! Sometimes we know exactly what we need and want, other times we aren't in alignment with our request - for a multitude of reasons - and our questions and desires are left unfulfilled until we are able to get on the same vibrational level of what we are attracting.
