Brandable Domains
I want to share with your guys my doubts about my domain name.
I've chosen the domain which is non-directly-informative, no referencing to the products I am going to promote, to market etc. I want the name which will be flaxible and memorisable, easy to spell by phone and to dile then I google my questions about the choice and found it almost ideally fit the requirements to the brandable domains. Here it is the output of my discoveries.
In many cases, when people are referring to “brandable domains” they actually mean domains that are non-keyword names with no specific descriptive meaning. While the name and domain might have direct reference or meaning to the business or product, these domains don’t specifically spell it out. Instead they convey character, values, or qualities of the brand, product, or service. These non-descriptive domains build strong brand value over time; they are less likely to already be registered as domains (more likely available); and they also allow for flexibility in the brand in that they are not permanently tagged or associated with a narrow descriptive category.

I also did a research way back about domain names. I think it there are criteria for a domain to be brandable. A short catchy domain is preferred compared to long descriptive one. Like www.abc.com whereas www.americanbroadcastchannel.com.
Absolutely. You on the right way. There are 6 criteria for making a domain brandable. I had an idea to copy these articles here on WA, but the system rejects to download it here. So, everyone can read it on the original places. Just google it. The major point is the key words are not brandable and usually already owed by someone long time ago. So everyone able to find the domain which will be really brandable and bear the top value. Brandable domain has nothing to do with the keywords and a niche. That is completely separate product with its unique Market Value.
