My Three Month Trial of 2020 is Just About Over I Might Send it Back

I am rapidly falling out of love with 2020. It seems a lifetime, yet it has only been about 12 weeks since new years and all those joyful expectations. So the idea circulating in my head is that I may send it back before the guarantee expires. It is not all bad though one of the real highlights for me was joining WA. For you guys that are already here, being able to continue to build and create that online presence even in the face of a lock down and all the crazy that is going on in the world would be hard to beat, let me know.

Speaking of lock downs, confession time I am in a love triangle, with my laptop and the fridge, not sure who will be the winner and who will be the loser, I can see heartbreak the scales have been pushed out of sight for the time being.

Who said that working remotely was such cool a thing to do, definitely a very steep learning curve involved, my couch stands to attention and salutes me every time I walk past and ignore the invitations from itself and that 42-inch screen on the wall. Stay strong; I say although hard to at times, the comfort of a blankie and magazine can be a welcomed relief at any time. I think we all have a few cat genes in us, don't they have relaxation down to a fine art.

I guess you may be like me; when we go from " go to woe, " just how busy we are, in our regular lives, I have this sneaking suspicion that I am addicted to busy. The second realization is that busy doesn't necessarily equate to being productive.

Today was a bit of a lost cause, I mean the intentions were there, but time has this habit of slipping away, especially if we do not have a plan or budget on how we are going to invest it.

Yes, working from home does have some drawbacks as opposed to working in the office. Our lives were ordered, and now there is a time of being unordered.

I am a sticky note, and list person; I blame it on my OCD, comfortable with it at these times. Tomorrow is another day, so back to basics, set some goals, plan and of course put that plan into action.

Been watching way too much YouTube, how does it go; " Take massive action, "well maybe not massive action, but I am sure that you will join with me, reflect and start doing the things that will count. There is still work to be done, of course. As always, it is the extra that we do that creates what happens down the track.

I have become acutely aware that the idea of working from home is great; the mechanics are a different story.

I would love to know how you guys are dealing with the current situation?

Stay safe and share your love with your family and friends, it is the one thing that never goes out of fashion.

Hi Sandra,

Loved your post, got a few chuckles. Sorry, but there are no returns, or refunds on 2020. You have been here about 15 days and it does take time to get into a certain kind of routine. For most of us our regular routines were thrown out the window due to covid-19.

We have to make the necessary adjustments to turn the lemon into a refreshing smoothie like Stella does.

This is like going on a journey, well actually it is a journey. We need to use a map. That GPS has to be put on hold, it will give you directions to the fridge.

I start my day as a blank page, on this blank page I start writing down the things I have to do, what I would like to do, and through a process of elimination I start to prioritize.

You wrote a great post. Any ideas about what you want your website to be about. We all work together here. We all will be successful here depending on the investment we put in, no I am not talking about money.

Best wishes,
Michael

Hello, Michael, that is so funny the GPS to the fridge, a smile came to my face. There are indeed no returns or refunds, just being creative and taking creative license.

Time flies by I didn't realize how long I have been here, I have been enjoying it so much and I am learning so much.

I really like your way of planning your day, Michael, it makes good sense, especially eliminating and prioritizing.

On the website front, I have a passion for art so I see that as a direction I also have an interest in women in business so getting the feel for moving that way. I am not sure if that would be too broad or not, just working through the training.

I have to agree there is so much help here, I think it was Joe that pointed out in his welcome message, about posting and also the little grey search box " need help, Sandra? ask your question "

That has been the best tip that I have recived as a newbie.

I have been a little sponge lol well turning into a big sponge.

Thank you.

Sandra.

Hi Sandra,

Being a sponge is the best way to absorb things. Once you have absorbed what you feel is your limit, you need to squeeze it all out into your new website. Keep repeating this procedure, and soon your website will explode into the things you were hoping for.

I can see you have a passion for art, hence the profile picture. Use Jaaxy to narrow down some key words for your site.

Art, and women in business. I would suggest you pick the one you are more passionate about. They are both great.

Wishing you all the best,
Michael

Thank you so much for your words of wisdom, Michael I can see why you are an ambassador here in WA.

It can be overwhelming but I am finding doing a little each day is helping a lot. Thank you for that vote of confidence as well, around niche selection. Some people have said chose something that you can write heaps about? That is helping to fine things down somewhat.

Jaaxy is something that I am just starting to explore what an excellent resource we have at our fingertips.
Sandra

Sandra, the gift of being an ambassador was given to me not due to wisdom. It was a gift from my family here at WA, who know I care for them, and for my persistence.

You have a gift in the way you express your thoughts.

Michael

The truth of the matter is working at home is a struggle between work and just sleep, WV, read books, munch snacks and eat more and more.

Hello Florentino, so true munching can be a trap for sure. building that routine is the work in progress and getting everything done that needs to be done.

As long as those snacks of yours are healthy all will be well.

Sandra.

Oh no! 🤩🎯🌟

Thanks for sharing today, Sandra.
At the beginning of the year, everyone was saying how this year would be the year of breakthrough.
Well, here in Australia we have had bush fires, floods and now this virus.
It has been life-changing for so many.
For Nicola and me, we have worked from home for the past 28 years so we are just doing what we normally do.
It can be a challenge working from home, we have just put in place routines that make it as productive as possible.
Thinking outside the box works.
Have a great week.
Darren :)

Hello Darren and Nicola, we were all saying that at the start of the year for many it was the year when we were going to make things happen.

Australia has had its fair share of calamities, over the last little while, and this new one is something extra to deal with, definitely life-changing.

You will be well established into that work from home routine, and enjoying the benefits. That is a career length of time you have been doing that for.

Just talking to friends as well as my own thoughts the transition is now taking work home which is the new experience for many.

Thank you for sharing.

Sandra.

I've been working "online" for at least 10 years (if you don't count the years I gave up on trying!) and it was not until I joined the One Funnel Away Challenge (Clickfunnels) and Wealthy Affiliate, that I realised I was very unordered in my working style.

You are right - the fridge is right there and if you are not disciplined you will be making frequent visits to it.

As I eat and cook food in a disciplined fashion, I just batch cook for the entire day and have breakfast, lunch and dinner at the same time every day.

Doing the One Funnel Away Challenge really got me focused on what I needed to kickstart my income-producing activity.

As a result, I know exactly what I need to do now, and have totally forgotten about going to the next shiny button online.

As I have 4 glasses of homemade flaxseed smoothie every day, my digestive system is free and keeps me clear of toxins.

This puts my mind in a very clear state. So clear in fact, that I have vivid dreams I can remember on waking.

I'm actually 55 going on 45 as a result. No one ever believes my age - and it's not in my genes - I've suffered from eczema flare ups for the last 20 years from head to toe. The avocado smoothies have been of great help in keeping me looking young and also repairing damaged skin,

So there you have it...With practice and determination, working online is a possibility!!

Much blessings,

Stella

Hello Stella, thank you so much for sharing your insights, and the way you organize your working day. Starting out there is so much to take on board, I can see so many benefits in creating a routine that is workable and that doesn't place too much pressure or set unrealistic expectations.

Drawing board time, and it is going to be a good investment.

There are definite advantages in creating an ordered approach to working from home. Those flaxseed smoothies are doing wonders for you, thanks for sharing that as well.

Best wishes.

Sandra.
