Lately, I’ve been looking at social media a lot differently, and this funnel honestly made things click for me. It made me realise that growing online isn’t just about posting more — it’s about understanding why people do what they do.
1. Engagement Isn’t Luck — It’s Intentional
What I'm learning is that if people aren't engaging, it's usually not because their content is bad- it is because it didn't hook the audience in.
The points I am trying to integrate in my content, especially for my pet account on Instagram include:
- How I open my content.
- Whether it makes someone feel something instantly.
- If I would personally stop scrolling for it.
It’s lowkey humbling… because it means I can’t just blame the algorithm anymore.
2. Following Comes From Feeling Seen

This part hit me the most because people don't follow content that looks good- they follow content that makes them feel understood.
I ask myself the following questions:
- Am I actually speaking to a real problem?
- Would someone feel “this is so me” watching this?
It’s less about being perfect, more about being relatable and real.
3. People Buy When They Trust You (Not Just Like You)
This is where I think a lot of us get stuck. Likes don’t equal trust.
What I’m learning here:
- Am I showing real results or just talking?
- Am I giving enough value before expecting anything back?
Because honestly… why would someone buy if they don’t believe you yet?
What I’m Taking Away From This
For me (and maybe for you too), this funnel is a reminder that:
- Attention comes first
- Connection comes next
- Trust closes the deal
I’m still figuring it out, but thinking this way makes social media feel less random and way more strategic.
