How We Learned to Stay in Our Lanes (Me = Marketing, Him = Design)

At the start, we both tried to do a bit of everything.

I would overthink about design and he would overthink about marketing.

And instead of helping- it slowed everything down.

What wasn’t working

We thought being involved in everything would make things better.

But really:

• Ideas took long to execute.
• Decisions felt messy
• Nothing felt fully strong.

We weren't lacking skill , we were lacking focus.

The shift that changed everything

We finally got honest about our strengths.

Me- marketing, growth, content and understanding the audience.

Him- design, building and creating an actual experience.

And instead of overlapping - we committed to it.

What changed after that

This is where things started moving properly:

I stopped worrying about how things looked.

He stopped worrying about how things were marketed.

We trusted each other's roles and suddenly:

• Things got faster.
• The work got better.
• Everything felt more aligned.

What it looks like right now.

It's simple but it works:

• I bring the attention.
• He builds something worth the attention.

Marketing + design = not competing, only complimenting

Final thought

We didn't grow because we did more.

We grew because we stayed in what we're actually good at.

That's when things stopped feeling forced, and started working
