Week One Done and Moving Forward
The Beginning of a New Life
So after just one week I have gained what I consider to be a wealth of knowledge already. I have my first website up and running: cybernetcounselor.com and I have connected with a good number of great folks here in the community.
The first two courses are behind me and I haven't had a lot of difficulty thus far with the exception of gaining authorship with G+. Carson graciously has offered to help me out with that - Thanks Carson!
Patience Grasshopper
Like everyone else, I started out anxious to make that first dollar because I was, and still am, in a desperate need to make some cash being unemployed at the moment and having a teenage son at home to care for. Although I would still like to realize a profit as quickly as possible I know that it will take a little bit of time. That makes it rough when there is rent to pay and bill collectors are knocking on the door and my search for work has been anything but fruitful, it's horrible when you keep getting told that you are over qualified!
It All Happens for a Reason
Regardless, I have had a lot of time to invest in WA which hopefully will work out to my favor in the long run. If I hadn't lost my job the first of the year I would not have found WA because all my computer time was spent working on my master's degree. I switch from that to WA now with a lot more time to spend on both. Also, I wouldn't be able to invest that time if I had found new employment right away. Fact is, yes I need a job to survive but I'm not on the street yet so things could be worse. I'm working on something that could WILL soon provide me with not only a comfortable living but new independence as well.
Full Steam Ahead
I'm looking forward into getting in to the next sections of training and learning how to monetize my site. The day I make my first sale will be like a national holiday to me for the rest of my life. I'm very proud of the progress I have made in such a short amount of time. I hope to be able to have my site in top notch shape soon so that I can start on the one and have more time to help everyone else in the community realize their hopes and dreams. GOOD LUCK to everyone here and thank you so much to all those that have helped me thus far. A huge thanks goes out to Kyle and Carson for what you are doing here!!!
Ciao for now
Scott

Hey Scott, I can relate to the need to move forward fast, but i'm glad you're also recognizing the need to invest the time to reap the benefits.
Best of luck to you!
Marcel
Thanks. I have never been afraid of a little (or a lot) of hard work. It's good for the soul.
You have done well, Grasshopper. With patience you will be able to walk on rice-paper and leave no footprints behind. I hope that you indeed find employment soon because writing on an empty stomach is, I've been told, quite the ordeal.
Best of luck, and be well.
Oscar.
Thanks Oscar, writing without internet is even more of an ordeal!! Lol It all works out in the end my friend. ....Scott

I like this blog and I find you have a good interesting niche, so as a fellow newbie, I am wishing you much success!
Thanks man, same to you. Just stick with it. I think I am addicted and I'm working on my masters in addiction counseling so I should know!! Lol
Lol, love it! I'm totally addicted too.
When I walk away from the computer, it's like I'm stepping into another world, I get so disconnected being so connected on WA.
And for future reference, it's miss. ;)
oops, my bad, I just automatically tend put that. I do apologize.
Lol, no worries, DNTL as a name does not give much away! ;)
