Is ShareASale and other Affiliate Companies better than Amazon?

I noticed that the payout from other Affiliate Companies are much better than Amazon. What you guys think? So Basically i found out that Amazon wants you to put a disclosure on your blog
Etract from a Comment in another blog :

You can use your page copy to sell the heck out of the item, but you aren’t allowed to try to coax a sale in any way. Amazon wants the sale to be 100% the customer’s idea. The only way we’re allowed to influence the buying decision is by talking about the product itself. Again, I love your blog!

How many of you put disclosure on your pages? can you provide some Samples?:)

Why did Amazon drop you?

No idea.they complained I violated some of their rules which I am not sure. This happened immediately after I got my first sale. Isn't it weird? I have been an Associate for couple of months and why they didn't check before?

It's too bad they didn't tell you how you violated something. Then you could fix it and reapply. Do you have screenshots of products or reviews on your website?

Hi jeanL i updated the links to shareasale as they have better commissions. Im just pissed off that they can simply cancel accounts and hold on to our commissions.

I love ShareASale! Much better commissions. I have one affiliate that pays 40%. Gotta love that!

I couldn't agree more with ya man. There are so many different affiliate programs that you'd never even think of.

Do some looking around and find the products you want to promote and go from there. Find a bunch of retailers that sell the same product and see what their commission rates are.

There are other things to think about besides the commission rate though. You should look at the cookie for one. See how long the offer stands for you after a person clicks your affiliate link.

For example another affiliate program with really high commission rates may have a ridiculously small cookie which isn't a very good thing. Most often people will take some time to ponder the idea of buying what your selling..

By the time they decide to buy it, your cookie has expired and you won't earn your commission.

Great question though. I'm relatively new here so I'm still doing my share of poking around as well.

Another idea could be to advertise for many different programs and see which brings in the most income and go from there using the best program.

Hope I helped,
Jordan

thanks @jriz9 thats a good suggestion. I feel its wierd that Amazon can keep my commissions just like that. they should pay me atleast

Absolutely man.. After all, you did sell their product for them

Im not even sure how i can get my commission back.i signed up again but got different ID.all my previous history is gone just like that :(

People seek different affiliates because of the various benefits. I use Amazon and their commissions are the lowest; however, when a sale is made, chances are the person purchased more than just the one item.

true but For some reason, Amazon decided to delete my account after my first sale. i dont trust them anymore :(
