The quickest way to success inside Wealthy Affiliate...FOCUS
It's so easy for new members to get side-tracked inside WA when first starting out.There is a huge amount of information throughout the site. Curiosity can be detrimental to forward progress.
You can find yourself mindlessly clicking on one thing to another just to see whats there or whats the next lesson is about. Next thing you know, you forgot what you were doing. It's overwhelming and "information overload" creeps up quickly in your unsuspecting mind.
I know, it happened to me and probably most WA members starting out. It's important to "catch" yourself early on in the training and develop habits that you know will keep you focused on "First Things First"...the lessons!
Kyle has expressed many a time in various training modules how critical it is to start writing content and publishing your pages. Don't save your content in a "draft".The sooner you publish your content, the quicker it will get indexed by the search engines.
As you progress forward the search engines will realize your page has new content. A new website is not going to get a first page ranking on Google right away anyway, so, it's best to publish your content as you write it and Google will start "inching" you toward page one.
Your website, page, or post does NOT have to be completely full of all the content you want on it to start getting noticed by the search engines. A little at a time gets noticed as you click the "publish" button on the text editor.
If your going to place images, encouraged, among your text, do it after all your content is wrote unless you have them already added to your wordpress media library and ready for editing. A lot of valuable time can be lost searching for images.
Staying focused on the lessons is "key" to getting your "profitable and successful" website listed on page one of Google and many other search engines simultaneously.
Kyle & Carson have provided more than everything needed for all WA members to succeed. It's up to each member to follow the lessons closely, step by step.Should you have a problem or are stuck on something, the whole WA community is at your service, just ask.
At the very top of every and all WA pages there is a white search bar with a magnifying glass icon in it. Start typing a question or someones name and a drop down list of various topics or keywords will appear.
You can usually find an answer to anything you ask. You can also click on the blue "Live Chat" button found on the upper left side of any page. Wealthy Affiliate is a global community. Members in all time zones keep the Live Chat Room active 24/7.
In conclusion, I hope this post has been helpful to you. Staying focused may seem like such a "little thing" but it's usually the "little things" that have the biggest impact!

Thank You for the words of encouragement Nita. Good thing I didn't dive into "trucker stories to get you more side-tracked. Maybe eventually I'll create a truckers page with stories. Even I would get side-tracked then.
