Exciting Times!
Well - I've been waiting for this time - more time!
My youngest girl has finally started some full days at pre-school last week and this now gives me 6 hours, 3x per week of my own time. I am very excited about being able to get stuck into websites and increase the quality of the sites and the amount of blogs I am producing.
I have so wanted to do this since being here at WA but just have not had the hours with 4 young ones and a wife who is a surgeon and needs my support so she can be at her best!
Today - I spent a couple of hours walking a bush track with my 82 year old father-in-law as I want to put all the walking tracks he has created over the past 30 on to the web. The website will include explanations, photo's, GoPro Video and integrated Google maps from my GPS tracking. Hoping to eventually expand this further to take in wider walking tracks and monetise but start with getting it online.
Anyway - a great day and now lots to learn and implement :). Any help on integrating Google Maps to my website would be appreciated!

Enjoy your free time! I know exactly how that feels. 6 years ago I started my daycare with 3 under 4 years of age, now they are all in school all day, so convenient!

Thanks. I have realised that its hard to really get traction in this business without investing consistent time. I'm excited about what will happen over the next 1-2 years as I build on what I already have.

Richard, this sounds like great news for you. Having that extra allocated time will make such a difference.
I really look forward to seeing your site as I love going for walks and using GPS. (Maybe some GPS product reviews would be great ;) )

Thanks so much for the comment and advice. I like the idea about reviews on some GPS products. I run / walk / bike with a Tom Tom Multisport Cardio that I love. Its just so great the info you get these days - we are very lucky.

It is always nice once our children go to school. Raising 4 children was always a VERY busy time, but they were some of the best times of my life. Time flies by SO fast......Enjoy :-)
Thanks for the encouragement and reminder. I actually love the fact that I am at home with the kids - a privilege not so many have these days and even less dads. Its also nice to get a bit more time to do some other things also :).
