New Blog Subject
I have been somewhat concerned if I would be able to keep my blog on my website current since it is built aroung my recent career, CNA. I beleive I won't be able to continue that career due to my physical disabilities. But...I have been overlooking my daily life, and as I observe other blogs from other sources around the net and t.v. I find that the most successful blogs revolve around the daily lives of the blog owners. That being said...my daily life revolves around my numerous cats and my three dogs. Wouldn't it make more sense to relate daily and past antedotes about my love of pets and all animals....and abandon my current website, create a new website with my knowledge that I have gained thus far abot website building and go "all out" about life with pets? Any and all replies are totally welcome. WA all the way!

I know quitting on your first blog might seems a big failure, but it is not!
Many of us here are trying to be a successful blogger so we can do what we love to do instead of doing our 9 to 5 job, so why would you want to stay on a topic that you don't love?
If you really have a passion for cats and dogs then go for it! I bet that you can easily write 600 to 1000 about dogs and cats.
Start writing "how to" articles.
Example:
How to bathe your dog/cat
How to train your dog/cat to poop in the proper place
How to make your dog and cat not fight
How to feed your dog/cat
Then go on writing list articles.
10 best products for your cat/dog
10 best toys for your cat/dog
10 best places to take your dog for a walk
10 best foods for your cat/dog etc.
Make sure to open an Amazon Associate account so you can link the products that you are reviewing, therefore, make some commission when your reader buys the item you talked about in your article.

If you forget how to start a new website, then just go back to the training section. I always do that because I easily forget too and I'm 30 so I guess that is normal!

Hey Rutha. You do what you love. I am not a cat or dog guy however we have a cat, a small dog and a big big dog. They grow on you and eventually you become a cat and dog person. Tell everyone about your love for your pets!!!!
Thank you! I know that the world is full animal lovers, but that just means that the world is full of companies that sell pet products. So I think it is a win/ win situation.

You should definitely choose a niche you have personal interest in. If it is something you enjoy you will be able to write much more and keep writing than if the niche gets boring or old to you.
You don't have to currently be a CNA to have a CNA website, but if you don't feel like writing about it then it is better to switch to a new niche now.
My first website is a pet website and it is my money maker so far. Pet niches are somewhat competitive however so it is not the easiest niche, but there are more and more pets being loved now and people are spending much more on their pets and taking better care of them overall nowadays. Therefore there is room for growth in this niche.
Whatever you do, pick a topic that you enjoy so writing isn't a chore!
