I'm confused.

This isn't a question, it's more of an observation really, but having said that any feedback would be welcome.

Keywords... I think we all spend quite a lot of time searching for the best keywords, trying to find words that thousands of people are searching for but no one or at least very few bloggers/websites are using, so we can use them and hey presto, we are at the top of the list when people search for that keyword, okay then, so far so good.

I just typed in Jaaxy "How to get money online", the result :- AVG = 3592, QSR = 63, SOE = 89, Great.

Little old me being curious, I popped over to google and keyed in the google search bar, "How to get money online" I'm still searching the results and I can't find any that have "How to get money online" in the title, there are loads that have "how to make money online" so why aren't the 63 at the top or at least near the top, I've gone quite a way down the list and I can't find any of the 63 that Jaaxy have under QSR,.... It would be nice to know if anyone else has ever noticed this, or am I doing something wrong,...well it is quite early in the morning here in the UK,... maybe I just need to go back to bed.

Hi Russ, I hope that I do not confuse you, just adding something to think about.

When we search in Jaaxy the results are pegged to and aggregated to Google.com. or North America.

When you search from your device, Google will present results based on your geo-location, so for you, it will be google.com.uk.

There can be a variance, results are not necessarily, global in nature. Google geo locates devices by IP address and people by location.

Another variance will be that Google is trying to give " you " the most relevant, results that can be based on your preferences and advertising profile to a degree.

The search results can vary from person to person and place to place.

Stop words may have an effect as well.

Most search engines do not consider extremely common words in order to speed up search results or to save disk space. These filtered words are known as "Stop Words".

So Google may ignore the " get " in your search query.

How to get money online.

and maybe replace the get, with the most common query which would be " make "

so in Google's mind, the search results may reflect that.

How to make money online.

In other words, Google gives you what they think you need or want to see.

For the results that you see, that content is ranking in the SERPS.

With Jaaxy it is a research tool the skill comes in discerning the results and making strategic decisions based on that basis

The ideal test would be to create a post with the search term,

How to get money online

and see how you get on the thing is that the way Google looks at content is quite complex and extends way beyond the content title alone.

If we use the result and play around with it we can create something that can rank well.

So say; How to get money online ( affiliate marketing)

Just a couple of dimes.

Thank you for that in depth explanation Alex, I think I'm starting to get the hang of it now, I've only been here a month, so I've got a long way to go before I make any money,.... did anyone notice I put make there instead of get,....lol.

Russ

Russ, the algorithms that Google uses to rank phrases, is an art and a science. Google is quote a mystery in many ways.

Your question was best answered by Vicki who stated that it takes more than keywords to get ranked high. And Blogs that have those keywords in the title were probably poor.

If you are searching for anything on Google, type in your phrase. Then study how many articles have that phrase in the title. If any does, check it our and read the article. You can learn a lot by this.

I have been successful in getting some of my Blogs ranked high. If I posted an article just with the title I know it would not have been ranked high at all.

I hope my explanation makes sense.

Cheers.

Edwin

Yes it makes sense Edwin, thank you, I will check them out and see how they have used their keywords, I am learning and enjoying it, but there sure is a lot to learn...lol.

Russ

Indeed Russ. This is a university course about online marketing. So lots to learn and implement. You are on the right track. Do not give up.

Cheers.

Edwin

Thank you Edwin, I won't be giving up, I'm really enjoying it actually.

Russ

Hi Russ.

Looks like it doesn't make human sense. You can't get money online (get as take as yours)

Nowadays search engines are very smart (high-tech)

Like you said

when you type it on google, you get "an auto-translate" to "Top ways to make money online and offline"

That keyword (if possible) would be extremely hard to rank for.

You should search for terms like google suggestions and find a decent word to rank for.

Cheers
Pedro

PS: If your website is new, aim for keywords 100+ to around 250 searches per month, even with the same metrics of a 3000, they are easier to rank for.

Thank you Pedro, so basically when someone keys in "how to get money online" they are automatically directed to the "how to make money online" results,... which means the title "how get money online" would never be seen by anyone.

Russ

Maybe because their articles aren't that good
If I were you I'd get writing a really great post and wait to see the results
Go well
Vicki

Okay Vickie, I'll try,.....not sure if it's gunna be really great though...lol,

Russ
