Laser Focus

I recently asked a question about building my IM business. I wanted to find out how marketers spend there time working online because of the quantity of information that is available. I have finally come to one conclusion. That if you don't have Laser Focus you will only kick and flale in your frustration. Lev kind of opened my eyes about lack of focus that I myself and many others must have in creating Laser Focus. I just looked at my spam folder. There are 2132 messages in the folder. I would never have the time nor do I have the inclination to go through those files. Heaven made the spam folder to keep us pointed in the right direction.

I control my emails using laser focus. Lev mentioned I should only open emails from WA. Good idea. But its like being a drug addict. You have an addiction to those emails. They make you feel important, or like playing the lottery the thought is in the back of your mind that, "Maybe this is the one". Maybe this is the push button bit of software that will take me to affiliate heaven. Then one day you have an epiphany and see when you work in this manner you get no results.

I have followed Levs advice. I have said goodbye to all the big gurus. I went into my emails and pulled the plug. I hit the unsubscribe button. No more John Chow. I was up all last night going through withdrawal. I also estimated the time that I am saving from doing so. I estimated I go to my emails four times per day. I had five different im programs sending me emails. Each program sends me four emails a day. To log into my email takes me about two minutes (I am in Brasil. Slow internet here) Each email take me on average about two minute to open and read. Many times I click on the email and see if they have the answer. So total daily email usage is about one half hour a day. I can write a blog during that time.

Then I created a diary. I use Idiary now. Everyday I enter my to do list for the day. I check them off as I finish them and when I don't finish something I forward it to the next day and attempt to finish it that day. Another this I do in the diary is to have a separate diary for my blogs. I write the blog in the day I am in. I can search on all my blogs and keep track of which ones I have posted and which one i the next on the list to post.

How do we keep ourselves mind healthy and positive when we are are sitting in front of a computer for eight hours per day battling the most frustrating business in the world?

Thanks Shawn. It always feel good when ever you receive a response to your blogs. Thanks for the interest. "Time is not short, Only life is"

Sounds like you are settling into a routine. That is priceless in this business!
