I need to get more active!
Do you know how many drafts I have saved? Of course not. Four, on this post log. like 12 in SiteContent, about 8 in wordPress. I need to complete these and publish them.
I also need to be more active in this community. Here is my take away from Lesson 10 of Course 2 of Certification Courses:
Some of the Quickest Ways to Boost Rank
There are some ways you can boost your rank within the system. These include:
(1) Go through unanswered posts and offer a hand
(2) Welcome new folks to the community
(3) Help people with questions in Live Chat
(4) Ask for help when you need it
(5) Be responsive to any "notifications" that you are involved in
I said I would immerse myself into the community once I laid some ground work on my site: stitchUniversity.com. I am staging, taking, (working on finding a free editor for Windows10), and posting pictures. It is quite a process. I'm working on streamlining each step, so I can do this regularly. So, naturally, it's taking longer the first time around, right?
See, right now. I could publish this, what feels incomplete, and just do it, or I could add it to the pilling drafts! What would you do? I'm going to publish before my son needs me again. It's always better if I can walk away, than be called away from my writing.
Thanks for reading! How are things going for you?

Hi Rebecca!
What are you waiting for:)? You already know what to do. I will check the site out.
All the best to you and more.
Have a read here.
Stay in the creative mode
Well, I was going to start here, but I can only post one blog per day on WA for my first 3 months. So, back to my site! Good job, WA, at keeping me on task.
Thanks for the link! I really good point, to not worry about my numbers. Good thing I'm not worried about that, now I know to never start worrying about it.

Aside from the benefit of boosting your ranking, the more you write, to better your writing gets!
I thoroughly enjoy welcoming new members (it's time-consuming, but I read each and every bio); I love to talk so writing is not an issue for me (I used to average about 2-3 WA posts a week, now I'm down to about 1); and I learn so much from reading other posts.
I "discovered" the Unanswered Questions like just a few months ago! Seriously! When I came onto this platform, I was so clueless, so I wanted to keep my distractions down to a minimum.
Live Chat....ahh ...I take a sideways glance periodically, but I just keep away, mainly because I know my limitations. I have shared my avoidance (fear) of Live Chat in a few of my posts, so now I feel compelled to stay consistent with not participating in Live Chat, lol. My embarrassing moment on Live Chat was me trying to share my knowledge by answering the question. By the time I came up with the answer, they were onto their 3rd question! I just stay far away!
Why not give yourself a challenge to write just one post a week, Rebecca. And you don't even have to worry about word count!
Veronica! You are such a great community member! Thanks for taking your time to respond so fully to my post.
I am with you on the Live Chat. I've had similar experiences, with my answer taking to long to get out. I have been able to help a person or two in the past, and that was fulfilling. But I usually just hop on there with a question. For now, of course! I know when I know more, then I'll be on Live Chat helping out more.
I just left my first SiteFeedback comment. OH, UM, I didn't know that other people would be able to read it after I wrote it. I just wrote to the WA member like it was a personal letter, lol!!
I tried Unanswered Questions for the first time yesterday. I really like it. You really feel like you can help someone, because no one has had a chance to respond yet. I felt like I was helpful in that realm yesterday. I'm looking forward to helping with that again soon!
Welcoming new members is extremely time-staking. I still haven't even replied to all my welcomes. I've been a member for about a month. I didn't really get too many welcomes, just the right amount. Any more, and I would be overwhelmed. If I took the time to reply already, I would have lost my path. I have AHDH (er, ADHD. that's one of the symptoms, lol, so I'm leaving it, not backspacing and correcting, lol) Staying focused is a real privilege for me.
Thanks for letting me practice my writing back at you! I'm sending you a private message soon. I have more writing questions for you. :)
Also, a little UPDATE to this post!! Yesterday, when I wrote this blog, my member rank was 1155. Today, I moved up to 813. A little work, when done well, will go a long way!!
Thanks again, Veronica!
