Wealthy Affiliate Story - Month 1. 700 Unique Visitors
So after my try and fails with my old website, I decided to pay more attention to the training itself and also to the traffic.
I know it takes time for the searching engines to trust a brand new website. But I decided to try myself in social media and see whether I can bring some traffic from there, while searching engines are working on the trust ;) I might be a little bit impatient too, but it is another story.
Anyways, I was managed to get 700 unique visitors for the month of February! I think it is not so bad for a brand new website :D No, no sales yet. That is exactly what my husband keep asking me, when I throw him my traffic numbers. But I believe that will come soon!
So in order for me to get social media traffic, I joined various FB groups that share the same segment as my website. For example, my website is devoted to the paleo diet. So I joined 2 huge groups that also share same paleo diet interest and 2 big groups with broader segment (fat loss and dieting).
I did not do any aggressive promotions in these FB groups. However, I followed some of the posts and whenever relevant I referred people to some of my posts for some answers in their questions. The idea was not just to get my links everywhere but to try to help people with some information posted on my website.
So far it worked well, so I will keep doing and see whether I can get my sale soon too :D

Do any of the facebook groups go live?
Sometimes they go live and interview members.
Would be a great chance to get your info out there and get more traffic. I always go back and view some lives that I missed after they aired. So even more opportunity. The best part is that viewers are there because they follow the group leaders and look forward to the value/info provided.

That is a great idea!!! No the one I picked do not allow life videos, indeed, I have to submit my posts for approvals. Not comments though :D
I will research more on the health groups and see if there any with that option!
PM me if you are interested in one that I know of where the group leader took a healthy choice in her life to help with some issues she was experiencing. I saw her go live with a person who promoted eating better and I know another one that may also help you.
