Time For Change
I know I haven't been very active lately in the WA community but I've had a lot of change in the last few months. I was recently hired as an assistant manager and special event coordinator at a popular venue here in town, so I'm excited about this opportunity. They're even flexible with my hours, as I really started off only looking for something part-time. This will be a fun and challenging adventure. :)
In addition, I am still in the process of getting my novel proofread by a professional editor and then will be working on my book cover design. I finished my dedication page, acknowledgements page and the back of my book cover so I'm well on my way to getting my novel published. For those of you who asked about its release date, I will update it in a future post.
I also sold my RV that was just costing me $ sitting around, so that was a huge weight off my shoulders. Now we have my fiance's sons boat that he intends to work on since it hasn't been used since 2017. Always a project to do around here. Ha!
The timing of meeting someone new at a certain time in your life is also a blessing. I now live in a very small country town and happened to go in to the little post office...and I mean little. :) The lady behind the counter asked me where I was from. I told her California. She said she was too. We found out we had only lived 45 minutes away from each other. What??? I was a bit shocked and then as our stories unfolded, we realized how similar our lives were. We exchanged numbers and went to lunch recently. When I met her that day, I looked at what she was wearing, which was close to how I was dressed. We even both wear big rimmed reading glasses.
Really, it is funny but at the same time, I felt I was supposed to know her and we would be fast friends. I proceeded to tell her about my essential oil website and she expressed how much she liked essential oils so, of course I had her look at my site. :) Funny that you can meet someone in the least likely of places and you just know that you're supposed to know them. I would never have thought in a little town like this, with the population of 525 people.
After all, this is the place that I finally got the courage to write my first novel. This year has been a great year of change and I am so grateful for these new opportunities, including everyone that has been a great support here at WA. :)
I hope that 2019 brings a year of positive change for you all as well.
Have a great week!

Great read Renee'. Thank you for sharing. Maybe the book will make it out for the holiday season.
Good luck.

Thanks Mark. My goal is to have it published by end of year. Go out of 2019 with a bang! :)
I am a hopeless romantic. And who doesn't like fantasies? I will get my girlfriend/fiance to read it to me. lol There should be a small site that all the authors here at WA could promote their books. There are a bunch of ya'll.

Oh, wow! That would be pretty cool. Great idea. I read a WA member’s biography she sent me and it was amazing.
I think if your fiancé read parts of my novel out loud, it would be quite interesting. It may just be a page turner. Lol! 🙃
Hi Renee'
When you are in a positive mind frame, positive things DO happen.
That's the beauty of a human - gifted by the supreme. So enjoy the moments and expect for more.
Warm Regards,
