Google Is Finally Launching Its Own AI - Meet Bard
Google's CEO announced yesterday that they launched its own AI Tool which is powered by Its Language Model for Dialogue Applications ( LaMDA).
In my opinion it is no surprise that Google now launches its own AI tool. With the rising "competition" by other tools launched in recent years, the lates ChatGPT3.5 and ChatGPT4 just a round the corner, and Microsofts move to integrate OpenAI apps (ChatGPT) with its products, Google had to make its move to keep its position as the "go to" resource on the Internet. (sorry about the very long sentence)
No matter Googles intentions and mission of serving people good valuable and real facts, this is about BIG business. They can't be sitting "still" when the market they are in makes a leap forward with apps like Jasper and ChatGPT.
I am excited to get to dig down in Googles AI tool to explore its features and performance.
As the biggest search engine on the Internet where everyone else is sourcing their own data, it should be a great tool from Google.
Only time will tell if this is true.

The need for writers will increase due to this development of AI. It is not only about writing. The AI output needs editing and that is where the "gold" is hidden in all writing, editing our content to make it stand out.

I am curious about the impact on the traffic to websites.
If the AI Tools are able to give you the answer right away, it is safe to assume that the traffic to websites will drop.
Or I might be wrong...
What are your thoughts?
Mike
No, I don´t think so.
The key point here is what Google states in their guidelines they want the content published on the Internet written for humans, containing valuable, beneficial information for the human reader.
What will drop is the websites that are purely publishing AI content without verification and fact-checking the output format of the tools.
AI-generated content follows a pattern that AI detection tools, will catch.
If we as content creators make sure to continue to up our game and write good-quality blog posts and articles, based on solid research, people will seek out those articles instead of mass-generated AI content.
Kyle has addressed this in his vlogs and blog posts here at WA.
The issue is not the AI tool itself. It is about how we use them.

Hi, Roy
This was inevitable and is only the beginning.
I agree that it’s all about big business and Google’s need to retain search engine market supremacy.
With their technical and financial resources it should be an awesome tool! 😎

I am super excited to get my hands on it. Google is great at several things they do and this one should be awesome.

Excellent post Roy! The link unveiled everything that Google is launching!
Thank you for this post!

Thank you, Maria.
This is an important step by Google. It will clarify Google's guidelines on information that is intended to be published on the Internet.
Google has always been on a mission to make sure that valuable information is served to humans on the Internet since Google was started up. And Google has continuously improved its services with this focus and also to stay ahead of its competitors.
The launch of Bard will be an equally huge thing just like the launch of ChatGPT.
The perpetrators in this context are humans, the users of AI tools, that use the tool for short-term winnings, "spewing out" no new valuable information or unverified and false information on the Internet.
I think in the discussions about AI here in WA, we all have forgotten the fact that the reader of our content doesn´t care if the blog or article they read is created by an AI tool or by a human.
If the information is of benefit and is valuable to the reader they are happy. This is exactly in line with Google´s guidelines.
The caveat here is humans. We tend to seek out convenience in every aspect of our life and will take a shortcut not thinking about the consequences, in this case just copying and pasting the output of the AI tool on our blogs.
We need to up our game, and AI will aid us in doing that.

Once again, I am grateful to Wealthy Affiliate to unpack some of this information and help non-techies like me understand how we can use it. Otherwise, I would not be exposed to help in knowing how to use these developments.
Thanks for being a member and sharing information. And for the other members who also share their understanding of what we have to work with.
One of the things you can't get elsewhere.
Sami
Wow, Sami. I am flattered by your comment.
This is the power of a community of engaged members like the WA community.
Members who also takes interest in seeing other members succeed and grow.
That is what makes me tick too.
