What Will 2021 Bring.
We finished 2020 and survived! My wife and I are in the vulnerable age group 65+, and we are grateful to make it through this pandemic and we know it is not over!
We have 2 daughters that are Registered Nurses (RN) for 20+ years, 1 son in law, 1 sister in law and 1 boyfriend who is the Director of Doctors at a large hospital in Torrance CA. All have received the vaccine a few weeks ago, and as frontline health professionals, one of the first to receive it and so far so good. My son in law had it and his wife (RN daughter) as well, she is in quarantine for 10 days now, she already had COVID before she got the vaccine, bummer! All have told my wife and I to be extra careful because of our age, and so far we have. I walk 5 miles a day locally here in downtown Long Beach CA, and I get a good dosage of vitamin D just taking in the sunshine for 1 hour and 45 minutes, and I am also taking a number of additional supplements for my immune system.

We spent the whole month of September 2019 in the beautiful country of Colombia, and according to our dear friends in Bogota the capital, they said we saw more of their country in the 1 month than they have living there. It is very beautiful and we spent time in Bogota the capital, Medellin (home of the infamous Pablo Escobar), Armenia (coffee triangle), Cartagena (historic beach city), Rincon del Mar and so on, we will definitely visit again when we can.
Our cruise with Royal Caribbean's newest ship "Odyssey of the Seas" for December 2, 2020 was cancelled and we hope to get on the 8 day cruise in December 2021.
We are also planning another trip back to the country I was born in, Indonesia, some time in October or November if travel is allowed by then.
I hereby wish everyone a safe and sound 2021 and know that in the midst of this panic, there is hope in Christ, know God loves you...

Thank you RoseLee, yes the vaccines are working, unfortunately my youngest daughter who is an RN had COVID-19 already, she made sure we knew how horrifying and scary it was for and she is a health professional for 20+ years, she said her lungs hardened and she could NOT breathe! My son-in-law did not have to spend time in the hospital, he had to quarantine at a local hotel for 3 weeks, he said it was very bad for 2 days like a horrible flu but he got well after that, he is 42 and in great health, my daughter is 41.
