Wishing all WA members and their families abundant joy, happiness, peace and love in 2020. We had a very busy 2019, we plan to be less busy in 2020, vow to be more focused with a more defined agenda. I joined WA in January 2019 so will be celebrating 1 year next month. I hope to be more active and complete my website (s). It has been a struggle, and seeing some of you with the same, I find it heartwarming that we are all in the same boat, others more consistent and some of us not as consistent. Thank you Mickey, I too have 4 children (youngest is 37) and 6 grandchildren and I am a Christian. We are active members of Saddleback church since 1997, my pastor is Rick Warren, author of best seller "The Purpose Driven Life", he sent me as tsunami relief Coordinator back to Indonesia where I grew up. I took my 1st volunteer team to the earthquake/tsunami area of Banda Aceh, Sumatra, Indonesia, in 1st week of January 2005, I have been back and forth 33 times since then. My wife started a handbag factory in August 2006 which took off and our bags made it on the Oprah Show, you can google Laga handbags and read our story. God bless you and yours...Roy
That is a great book I read it many years ago. I've also listened to Rick Warren online.

Thank you Mark, I enjoy traveling and exploring the world like you. I was born in Jakarta, Indonesia during the Dutch colonial days. It was a special time and the best of my 1st 9 years in this world. We had a carefree life, 3 servants, a chauffeur that drove us to school and so on. Unfortunately the 1st President of Indonesia wanted all the Dutch out of Indonesia, so my parents and 5 siblings fled on a Dutch ship "Oranje" November 1957 and arrived a month later in cold "Netherlands" with snow coming down. We lived 4 years in the Netherlands and in November 1961 my parents and 8 siblings immigrated to the US on a ship, arrived in New York and all of us got on a train for a week and ended up in Portland OR, I lived there for 24 years, then moved to SoCal in 1958 and stayed, currently in Long Beach CA. My wife and I just spent the month of September in the beautiful country of Colombia, then on to Panama and Costa Rica, all had their best and worst, but definitely cheaper to live there than in SoCal. My cousin in Holland is married to a Russian gal, and I would love to visit Russia and Ukraine some day in the future. Wish you continued success and significance in 2020. God bless...Roy
