How To Get Your Facebook Page Indexed Quickly In Google
I created a new Facebook page for my online business a few weeks ago, it was probably about a month to six weeks ago. I must admit I was watching Kyle’s Boot Camp and he suggested creating a Facebook page, I was a bit reluctant to do that, as I’m not a fan of Facebook! However, I have taken Kyle’s advice and created a page on the rather clunky and painful Facebook platform.
After about a month, I typed my name into Google and expected to see the page show up. Nothing appeared at all. Even when I searched my name plus the word “Facebook”, it was completely missing.
I must admit I was quite surprised, as I would expect Facebook pages to be indexed pretty quickly, but that wasn’t the case. I’m guessing I probably had about 10 posts on Facebook at the time, which I thought would have been adequate for the page to become indexed, but that wasn’t so.
The good news is that you can speed up the indexing process with a few simple steps. I’ve now implemented these myself, and I wanted to share them here because many of us at Wealthy Affiliate use Facebook to support our websites, YouTube channels, and affiliate marketing platforms, etc.
Why New Facebook Pages Don’t Show Up in Google Immediately
Allegedly, Google does not automatically add every new page to its index. It looks for signals first – things like:
• Links pointing to your Facebook page
• Activity on the page
• Whether the page is connected to a broader online presence
• How often other indexed pages mention or link to it
If your Facebook page is brand new, has little activity, and nothing else on the internet points to it, Google often sees no urgency to index it.
Step 1: Link From Your Website to Your Facebook Page
One of the strongest signals you can send to Google is a clear link from your own website to your Facebook page. I actually have a page on my website, that links to all my websites, so I added my Facebook page to my WordPress page. Once Google crawls my website again, which is normally within minutes, it will follow that link to the Facebook page.
If you have blog posts where it makes sense, you can also link to individual Facebook posts. Anything that helps Google make the connection is worthwhile.
Step 2: Add Your Facebook Page To Your YouTube Channel Links
If you have a YouTube channel, this step is well worth doing. Inside YouTube Studio, you can add external links that appear on your channel. I already had a link to my website but not my Facebook page, so I added it. This creates another trusted link pointing directly to your Facebook page.
Step 3: Use a Link Hub (Like Linktree)
If you use a link hub such as Linktree, add your Facebook page there as well. It’s another reliable source that Google will probably pick up on. Incidentally, I had been meaning to open a Linktree account for ages, it’s finally happened! I will talk about that more in another blog post.
Believe it or not, I hadn’t added my Facebook page to Linktree, so that was somewhere where I could gain another link.
Step 4: Keep Posting On Your Facebook Page
I believe my page was about a month or so old, when I realised that it couldn’t be found in a Google search, so it is important to keep posting on Facebook. Having said that, the links to your website, YouTube and other platforms are also equally important. Google looks at activity signals, and Facebook also treats active pages more favourably.
Step 5: Be Patient While The Signals Take Effect
Even after doing all this, it may still take a little time. Google needs to crawl the websites and links pointing to your Facebook page before it discovers and indexes it. But by putting these steps in place, you greatly increase your chances of your page being indexed sooner rather than later.
Final Thoughts
I’m guessing that everyone’s situation is different, but after I carried out the linking process, I checked my page a couple of days later and it was showing up in the Google search! So, something definitely happened, I don’t believe it was coincidence, I believe that the linking really worked.
I appreciate that over a period of time, I’m sure my Facebook page would have been indexed, however, by doing the process above, it proves that my Facebook page is alive and active and speeded up the linking process.

Thank you for your concrete and valuable feedback. Indeed, we tend to underestimate the importance of external signals for indexing. I particularly like the idea of weaving a coherent web between site, YouTube channel and link hub. It’s a real presence strategy.
For my part, the Facebook page must be considered as a satellite. It only shines if it captures the light of an active ecosystem. Also, I agree with you when you say patience remains an underestimated lever in the SEO game.
Thanks again for sharing.
Thank you, Claude, I appreciate you taking the time to comment.
Do you have a Facebook page?
Have a great day.
Roy
Yes I have a Facebook page that is rarely used. But I see its importance in the arsenal of online work tools
That's good, Claude, maybe you need to start using your Facebook page. I know that Vitaliy and Kyle have created some lessons on Facebook pages, etc.

I too assumed that it was something that would be indexed fairly quickly, so I also went and checked. Nowhere to be seen, so I am off to do some linking. Thanks for the great information.
Thank you for taking the time to comment, Elyta.
That's exactly what I thought, especially as I was posting to my Facebook page and being how large Facebook is, etc. However, that wasn't the case, as you have also found out.
It didn't take me long to put those principles into practice and it certainly seemed to do the trick.
Have a great day.

It's a pleasure, Mel!

I can believe that, Mel, sitting in your home office, I'm sure the time flies by, it certainly does with me.
It's so important that we make the most of our time and get the balance right, especially for you, with your family, Mel.
Enjoy your day.

Thanks for sharing this Roy.
It makes total sense that we can use our website as a bridge or a conduit between Facebook and Google.
Facebook pages/groups, and also LinkedIn, pages and groups.
We should talk more about this, next time we get on a video chat. 😊
It's a pleasure, Brad, I appreciate you taking the time to comment.
It appears that Google likes linking between platforms, so I believe that platforms like LinkedIn and Facebook are good.
That's a good idea, hopefully we can do a video chat quite soon again.
A very happy Friday to you.
