Hi guys, lets talk about how to add links to your idea pins on Pinterest. This morning I asked a question using the ask a question feature here in WA. Something was brought to my attention that I was not aware of. I didn't know that the feature is only supposed to be used by someone who doesn't actually know the answer.

I apologize, because I thought, we could also use the feature to bring the community up to speed with something, by asking if they know about it.

Anyway, my question was, "did you know you can add links to your idea pins on Pinterest?"

When idea pins were introduced, we were not able to use links, you could only either place your call to action on your pages or maybe in the video itself. This was frustrating because even though idea pins helped you grow your Pinterest account, your audience couldn't click through to your website or to your offers.

Now You Can Add Links To Your Idea Pins On Pinterest, Lets See How To Do It

I took some screenshots for you. It's actually very easy, but I have noticed, currently, it can only be done using the Pinterest app, and you must update to the latest version.

So you can add your idea pin either from your camera roll or by recording a video/s using your device. Select your files, and then simply click next, and at the bottom of your screen, you will see the product tag, click on it and then choose to use a link.

Then you just need to paste your link.

As you can see, Pinterest is also adding more editing options, you can trim the clips and you can also add text, it looks like they are heading the TikTok way, we shall see. Once you click the product item, it will take you to the next page, see the screenshot below.

Here you are going to click use a link, and then you will go to the next page where you will proceed to past your product link.

Well, that's it, folks, you are able to promote your products using idea pins on Pinterest.
