The next four evenings, we will take our dinner to the sofa and settle down to watch the women's semi-finals, the men's semi-finals, and then both finals. With Rafa Nadal out, the men's competitors are younger. I'm a fan of another Spaniard, the young Alcaraz, who likes to be called Carlitos. On the women's side, I've been enjoying the Ukrainian who has been out while having a baby with her husband the Frenchman Gael Monfils. Actually, I don't even know if she is still in now. Another of my favorite women, Ons Jabeur of Tunisia, is out.
My husband and I do like to watch tennis. We used to play a little, but I was so inept that I gave it up decades ago and Kelly found people of his skill level to play with. He doesn't play now.
As for the rest of my life. it's the same-old-same-old. I'm still organizing my office and writing a bit on my memoir about growing up with my father. I still write in Scrivener.
The French Open is the only major that is played on clay. It's interesting to watch. I'll be less distracted when it's over!
