As a young adult I loved anything athletic, specifically football or anything I could throw, kick, tackle, jump over or out of. This love brought me to playing college football at a high level rewarding me with a free education. Fitness is a way of life for me. I also have strong interests in teaching, art, music, human development, philosophy, beers older than 150 years old, and great espresso.
I may of been cursed with having a love for almost everything. This has made focusing on money, or thinking about where money would come from in the future, an after thought. I was too busy making friends and playing! Though I dabbled many times with business concepts, my "playing" didn't allow me time to get good at it.
Recently I stopped my quest for mastering the art of guitar and playing in rock bands to focusing that energy on building a worry free future. I have an amazing family and I teach during the day. Spending time with family and focusing on our future together is where I am at. Focus has brought me great success in many things that didn't bring in enough income to make a huge difference.
I will return to doing those other things when I put my day job away. OK...I might step on that distortion pedal every now and then. : )
Right now, working for someone else, has made it easy for me to predict exactly what I'll have and where I'll be financially when I retire. Pretty much in the same place and same life style, limited by a set retirement package.
I believe Robert Kiyosaki said, "we either work for money or we make money work for us." An interesting mindset.
I've aligned my dreams to earning more and "playing' less. WA is a great place for me to hone in on some financial dreams.
