The Snow Ball Effect

Reflection as I begin a new journey.

First BLOG ever!

My peer group does not fall into the 10% that makes 90% of the money category. : ) We live check to check and talk about potential dreams over happy hour beers. After exhausting every topic on "wouldn't it be great if..." we go home, nothing really changes. At the next happy hour no one has anything new to share about reaching those awesome hopes and dreams we so freely discussed at our previous happy hour. I've observed this pattern for too long. I kind of envy those who see that pattern earlier in life and "take action" to DO rather than just talk about things. I have no regrets and do understand how our value systems impact the decisions we make and that these values shift as we interact with the world : ).

I asked a friend this question, what has changed in your life in the last 5 years? Of course I was thinking of my own life. As we analyzed and answered this question together it was easy to see, our relationships were stronger, our kids were older, and our body weight may have changed slightly. Then the conversation proceeded like all others...wouldn't it be great to be able to_______, wouldn't it be nice if_______, oh...did you buy a lottery ticket?

Does any of this sound familiar? Needless to say my values have shifted based on how I was interacting with the world. The decisions I am now going to make will impact most if not all aspects of how I've lived. In 5 years I will be living what others talk about.

The snow ball is now rolling! I will share how I know this is going to work on a later BLOG...I am getting too long winded : ).
