So essentially there is ONE way to make it online, 1000's of words of content.
At the end of the day, content is king. Yes sure you can create a 1000 word post that is loaded with content, but there will most likely be 2+ pages of sites with more content than you. I see people getting frustrated at not seeing results, this has to be the reason. You can utilize a 100 off page seo tactics or none at all, but you still won't create profit with small posts, probably anything under 1000. Just food for thought.

Not really, according to the latest google update, it doesn't really matter how long your contents are as long as your delivering values and relevant to your keyword/s.
As long as your main purpose is to help someone then google will surely be noticing that.
I absolutely agree with you when it comes to serving the customer first, just as any good business would, but there are sites out there doing the same thing with a lot more content, plain and simple. There are too many people out there who work this thing for months, only to be disappointed by very little traffic.
I totally understand. I also have been experiencing this traffic dilemma today. So I'm trying new ways to get traffic that "may" convert.
Marcus 1 of the known member here in WA blogged for having a 300 something content and ranking very well. He also back it up with statements from google itself that word counts is not really the concern.
I almost 4 months here in WA. Done with the training but still no sales and very less traffic. What's worse is lots of my traffic are spam referrals. LOL!
But anyway that doesn't get down, as long as I'm learning something new everyday. That's the most important part in my perspective. :)
Thanks for the information but I'm still in the baby steps. I will keep watching you though.
Hi Rogue, I agree with you I found the sweet spot to be 800 + for a long form type of content piece.
Also it is useful to include some form of interaction within the blogpost to keep readers engaged.
For example: videos, polls, quizzes etc.
Nice man, what are your traffic numbers looking like? Yeah, I feel as if that would increase duration.. Good tactic! I am going to integrate that into my blog post tonight!

I've seen the recommended length grow during my time here at WA. I'm pretty sure the consensus optimum size post is now 1,500 words. I think it's just Google's continuous search for authoritative sources so as to optimize the search experience.
