Asking and receiving Feedback

I started 2,5 week ago with a free starter membership at WA. 3 days later I enlisted as a premium member. Now I almost completed course 1 of the Affiliate Boot camp. Next week I will jump into Course 2.

Going through the lessons you are always given some tasks to do. Thank you Kyle.

One of them is always to ask for feedback from the WA community.

But what is actually Feedback.

“The basic definition is that a positive reinforcer adds a stimulus to increase or maintain frequency of a behavior while a negative reinforcer removes a stimulus to increase or maintain the frequency of the behavior. Positive and negative reinforcement are components of operant conditioning, along with positive punishment and negative punishment (source: Wikipedia)”.

In other words. Personal development is impossible without confronting your self image with the image other people have of you. A human only can develop him- or herself if he/she is aware of his/her actual situation. And by receiving feedback we learn and grow.

I experienced myself that we have a very helpful community here in WA. Which is great!. Every day members are asking for feedback on their accomplishments in building their own website.

And if you ask for feedback you always get a response from other members. Which is often being very helpful and appreciated. What’s great about this WA community is that everybody is always very complimentary. And who doesn’t want to be complemented with his or her achievements so far. I do!

What I am trying to say to you is that being complimentary to the accomplishments of your fellow members is very important, but also, if possible, you have to be honest and clear about how the other person could improve him- or herself.

The following points you might keep in mind giving a member feedback.

Your Observation is based on facts.

Be specific (example, recognizable)

Be Positive (complimentary)

Action oriented (if you change this……)

Result oriented (this allows you to……. or you will………..)

You have to keep in mind that we are all learning and striving to become better at what we do on the Internet. Giving and receiving Feedback is necessary to grow.
