Is Youtube the way of business, is it a more effective teaching tool?

I was looking around on youtube and something caught my eye, I notice there are a lot of people who go to youtube for answers regarding different affiliate business topics even ‘how tos’ when it comes to building out something on their website. Youtube has been around a long time, it was only just recently I started realizing that it can be used to do everything from build a website to creating passive income.
Now, I have to wonder, how accurate is the info that is being viewed on Youtube or on certain videos that are being viewed; you would think that you would have no reason to question whether the information is faulty or factual but just how many of you do? (and yes, that is a real question).
I came across a couple of videos that caught my eye and I believe they are authentic, I’ve uploaded more than a few videos to Youtube and I never had anyone question me about my authenticity. So tell me people, can the stuff on Youtube be taken at face value or what are your thoughts on the concept of youtube being a reliable source of information regarding business and the like or it is better to take the information in stride when it comes to what you see and find on youtube?
