Core “Business Start Up” Training

I was following the training and at some point I installed XML Sitemaps, adding it to ALL IN ONE SEO PACK, that is a starter plugin here.

Got this notification on my WP d

Delete XML sitemap. For one thing All In One SEO has a sitemap and having another one won't do any good. Secondly, the more plugins you have, the more it slows down your site. Even if your site is doing well and you rank, your site will be better with less plugins. You 100% do not need the XML site map plugin. Just delete it and then go in and make sure your settings for the sitemap in All In One SEO are to your linkng and also make sure you have the sitemap from All In One SEO added to your Google Search Console.

That's what I wanted to know, I guess, thank you, I appreciate it Thomhee!

No problem. If you need help with Google Search Console or sitemap settings in All In One, LMK.

Yes, actually I have a question, just want to ask if I did it right.

1. I deleted Google XML Sitemaps

2. Set some basic settings in All In One and updated

3. I've already had a sitemap in Search Console, generated with Google XML Sitemaps. However it looks like address is the same and now when I'm checking it in Search Console it showes me the map generated by All In One.

- Does it mean everything is alright and I don't need to do anything in Search Console?

Yes, if the name of the sitemap is the same from the xml to the All in one (for example yoursite.com/sitemap.xml) then you don't need to do anything in Search Console. Search console doesn't care who made the sitemap it's just looking for that file sitemap.xml and it looks like it found it.

Super, sounds good.

Thank you for that, I appreciate your help.

Wish you all the best!
Dario

To what I've heard you should never have two seo plugins activated at the same time. There is also not a reason why having more than one so just get rid of one.

NEVER USE TWO SEO PLUGINS, they do negate each other .Choose one

But what about my sitemap submitted to Search Console, if I want to keep SEO PACK rather than XML? I mean, following the training I used XML to generate the map. Can I redo this with All in One SEO Pack?

Too many plugins can gum up the works and this can depend on theme but I would ask site support. I'm not sure

Hello everyone!

I'm looking for something simple that could enable me to write multi-reviews in my post. Where I could put together like 10 reviews in "top 10" kind of po

Dairusz,
Jay recommends Yoast WP Product Review Lite!!!
I downloaded last week and it looks like it is adequate for the job it must be as he uses it!!!!!
Have a great Sunday!
R.

Thank you for this recommendation Ramco!

I will definitely check it out for myself, saying that Jay is using that is definitely enough for me ;)

Great Sunday for you too!
Dario

and me from what I've seen so far its good stuff...;)
R

You beat me! That's the one I was going to say too lol ☺️

You have to wake up very early in the morning to beat me Melissa lols ;
Trust you are having a great Sunday!! ;
R.

Depends on how different our time zones are! Lol

lols True!! but no matter I'll still beat ya...;)
r.

I guess we'll have to see about that eh 😉

Just for the record, you most likely will lol

Lols Now how did I know Melissa you just wouldn't let me get away with a comment like that!! lols
R.

I guess you're starting to know me lol

and the pleasure is all mine Melissa !! ;)
R.

☺️

Personally I would not add a plugin for this as all you need to do is use subheadings on your blog post if you keep your review as a short overview you could then do 10 more in depth individual reviews which you could link out to. The individual reviews are more likely to rank in the search engines too.

Also having too many plugins can cause issues such as clashing with other plugins or slowing your site down.

Trust this gives you some ideas to get round it without adding one.

Martin

That's good pointing Martin!

I was actually wondering if adding another plugin wouldn't slow down my website or something.

I appreciate your suggestion and it sounds reasonable and professional. I believe, doing this way it will be also more user friendly towards customers. As they have great overview and detailed review in the distance of just one click.

Thanks a lot Martin!

Now I know everything I needed.

Best wishes!
Dario

Glad it helped
