Ideas, patience and popcorn!

Today is my one-month birthday here at WA!.....YAY!

At first, I was so excited, yet also extremely overwhelmed by the mind-boggling activity and information here, all the while trying to learn everything I could. I was devouring the training, familiarizing myself with the WA site, while also having fun encouraging and welcoming others. Then I realized I was exhausted and had been wearing myself out with it all, so I decided to take a much-needed break and stop fighting with myself. It's supposed to be fun, after all! Right?!

So, while (subconsciously) making popcorn in the microwave, with my mind still reeling with the busywork of training, follow/comments, ideas, etc.), I couldn't wait to get back to it. It seemed like it was taking forever to start popping. It was going slowly, slowly, slowly, yet nothing was happening, as I was pacing the floor. Then, sporadically, one by one by four by ten by fifty, the bag quickly filled.

Then it dawned on me that ideas are like popcorn and patience. They're in there, you know they are, and then they start popping, on their own accord -- and at the right time. And then all of a sudden, your head is filled -- overflowing! But you had to be patient to reap the benefits!

So, as I enjoyed my popcorn, I thought that even the menial things of life can test your patience. And, while the ideas are popping, we can't get so caught up in the race to make money so fast that we lose sight of the fact that we are here to, not only make money with our websites, but we are here to also have fun, in the process!

So, lighten up, have patience and keep those ideas popping!
