Bard Vs Chat GPT ? Massive Break Through Today.

Which is Better, Chat GPT or Google Bard?

I was trying to train chat GPT for a few days to write in my style for doing top ten lists or "best of" product lists. I have a very specific format that I do them in that is quite time consuming to format.

A quick summary of features in a bullet point list,

Expanded description of each point on the bullet point list.

Then a "why do I recommend" paragraph again highlighting and unique features.

I fed an example that I had previously done to chat gpt then gave it a new product and boom it reproduced a very similar format. I thought here we go!

But it kept making the descriptions way too long and veering off the format and seemed to have a mind of its own. No matter how many times I re-fed the example, Chat GPT just couldn't get it right. I thought there was just no point.

I had been struggling with this for a few days. I was hoping that maybe I would eventually stumble across the correct instructions and Chat GPT would start to do exactly what I wanted. Then .........

Massive Break Through

Then I headed off to Bard today (which I had never used before ), gave the same example with the same instructions and it pumped out a new product description following EXACTLY the same format as the example, same bold, same capitalisation, same length of description etc etc.

I did the same for a second product and it got it spot on a second time. I literally just copy and paste the amazon description of the product into Bard and it pumps out a mini review ready to go following the format that I normally use. Of course I will need to edit and embellish to give it a personal touch but wow, I have reduced my production time by so much. All the formatting, structure etc is done for me already and the content just needs a bit of touching up.

So for me at the moment it seems that Bard responds to my instructions better.

What do you think? What has been your experience with AI so far?

I have neglected Bard. I suppose like a minstrel of yore, Bard has just been in the background, and I have not been paying attention.

Based on your post, I will revisit Bard. Thank you.

Alex

Thanks for sharing the way you’re doing this. I’m still getting used to Chatgpt and I only looked at Bard. There’s just so much new stuff to learn. It takes time.
Jim.

Interesting, Rob! I have not really experimented with AI yet, but am watching from the fence!

Seems that Bard is now doing the same as Chat GPT and deviating form the original template. Very strange how they do so well then suddenly go off on a tangent.

That's strange! 🤔

I think I now have to paste my example template every time when asking it to produce an article for me. Otherwise it starts to think for itself and tries to add "improvements".

🤔🤔 For me, that is why I have not entered into the AI realm yet.

Hope it all works out.

Jeff

Hi Rob,
Tested both...
it depends of what you want
and how, indeed.
just my 2 cents..
😋

Yes I think so. Bard seems to be winning on the "producing articles in my style" front though.

Good to know
Thanks for sharing
