Who Would Want To Be An Ambassador?

Hi Folks

Today I happened to land on the page with the list of Ambassadors, and what did I see?

To paraphrase a popular series, film and documentary (Anne Of A Thousand Days) that was shown over here in the United Kingdom, I am now - Robert Of A Thousand Days.

Although there have been quite a few worthy ambassadors in the past, and there are some former ambassadors still members, there are actually very few members who reach the thousand day mark.

If you look at the Ambassador Ranking Page, (https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/rank) apart from the top three who are a permanent fixture, (I have actually reached the dizzy heights of being number 4) there is actually just one other member on it who has reached a thousand days and beyond to almost two thousand days. That is of course, Nathaniel who has been a member for almost nine years. Well done Nathaniel.

I looked up the definition of an ambassador in online marketing and below is what I found -

The Core Traits Of An Ambassador

• Knowledge of (and Appreciation for) Marketing

• An Established Online Presence

• A High Level of Professionalism

• A Passion for Building and Growing Relationships

• The Ability to Gather Feedback and Provide Innovative Insight

Is this me? Do I have those traits? Am I a true ambassador for wealthy affiliate? I like to believe so.

However its up to you, the membership to decide whether its a good description of anyone who aspires to, and reaches the rank of ambassador.

The opportunity is there for everyone who joins, but be aware it does take a lot of work to be one.

I see way too many new members who become obsessed and fixated on the status of being an ambassador. They answer and reply to as many comments and questions as they can. They spend hours on Live Chat, and I have to say their contribution is way below par simply because they don't have the experience or the knowledge you can only acquire from a few years working online.

I sometimes wonder how or if they ever get any work done building an online business.

Still each to his or her own and if that's what they want to do then who am I to say nay.
