Protecting Yourself As An Online Marketer
Protect Yourself - Disclaimer
Hi Folks
This is just a quickie blog to answer a question I've been asked this morning.
The question was -
"If I'm promoting Wealthy Affiliate should I have a disclaimer on my website?"
My reply was - most definitely yes.
Below is the disclaimer I have on many of my sites.
Before I put it on some of my sites I showed it to a corporate lawyer friend of mine who says its an excellent declaration.
Please feel free to copy it for your own use as it does apply to any WA member and their website.
Have a great day.
Robert Allan
ps
As I'm a citizen of the UK there maybe differences in the spelling of some words you are not accustomed to.

Hi Pablo and yes do it asap.
You have to protect yourself on the net anyway you can so a Disclaimer will do that.
Have a great Wednesday.
Robert
Most folks don't worry about this practice and correctly perceive they fly below the radar of legal suits and challenges and that is so. But this is definitely required if and when you are doing serious business and hauling in serious revenue!
Indeed it is a must have Mike.
Hopefully more members will read my blog and take the info onboard.
Thank you for your input and have a good one.
Robert

Hello friend Becky from across the Atlantic.
Thank you for stopping by and leaving your kind words.
Now I have to ask - are you going at it hammer and tongs as well lol?
Robert
Robert, thank you for sharing. As one of the new-comers to online marketing there is so much to learn and somethings will only be learnt through experience. Either by paying attention to people like yourself and your experiences or through my own experience when the shit hits the fan.
Will be adding a disclaimer to my site pronto.
Have a wonderful day :)
Brendan
No probs Brendan and its only common sense to protect you butt.
Thank you for taking the time to read the blog.
Have a good one.

Hello Kaju and thank you for stopping by.
As I said to another member who commented - new members seems to think that because WA has protection then that protection covers them as well.
Not so I'm afraid. get your own disclaimer on your site(s) asap is always going to be my advice.
Enjoy your Wednesday.
Robert
Hello Kathi, haven't seen you around for a week or two so thank you for dropping by.
Yes please do put a disclaimer on your site - this one or another of your preference.
Enjoy your Wednesday.
Robert
Yes.. I have had some personal things to take care of so.. basically was just answering emails. I hope to be able to do more training and blogging soon!
Yes, a Disclaimer should be one of the first pages people add to their new websites, especially when you're an Online Marketer or Online Entrepreneur in general.
Thank you for sharing your Disclaimer with us, Robert. :)
Hello Nicole and thank you for your input.
Disclaimers and Privacy Policies are a Must Have for anyone in business whether online or off line.
Lots of new members don't seem to realize this though and I suppose they believe that because WA has protection that protection covers them as well.
Enjoy your Wednesday.

Thanks Robert. I'm going to have to take a fresh look at what I have on my sites. I know I frequently give reminders on my herbal page but I need to be sure I have a strong statement on all of this.
Blessings,
Debby
