Stage 3 of Working with Chat GPT, what can it not do?
Title: Building Momentum: Crafting, Connection, and Launch Preparation
Introduction
In my last post, I shared the exciting strides I’ve been making toward building a comprehensive online presence. From creating a YouTube landing page to expanding my materials directory, things were moving quickly. Over the past two days, I’ve taken even more steps forward, tackling both creative and technical challenges. It did involve another major rabbit hole but one that could not be ignored any longer. Working on my computers no matter which one was really getting slower and slower.
Chat GPT gave me a breakdown of what could be causing it and gave me methods to check and then cure it. Sorting out 4 devices over a plan is not something I have ever tackled before.
Each day brings something new—whether it’s optimizing my tools, preparing for my first YouTube video, or finding ways to engage with my growing audience. Here’s what I’ve been working on and where things are heading next.
Optimizing the Workflow: File Sharing Across Devices
One major achievement this week has been streamlining my workflow across multiple devices. I discovered with Chat GPT's help, that OneDrive was having a significant negative impact on performance, so I dedicated a full day to resolving this.
Here’s what I tackled:
- Reconfiguring LAN Networks: I ensured my three PCs and iPad could seamlessly share files without relying on 2 separate cloud storages all fighting for resources.
- Cleaning Up PCs: This included clearing unnecessary files, optimizing settings, and improving system speed.
The results? A noticeably smoother and faster workflow, which has already saved me time and frustration as I juggle multiple tasks like content editing, video preparation, and drafting newsletters.
Starting the Newsletter Layout
Speaking of newsletters, I’ve begun planning the layout for my first one! This is a huge step for me, as I want to create something that’s not only visually appealing but also meaningful to my subscribers.
While the planned mailout for today has been delayed due to a small medical issue, the groundwork is in place. Once finalized, the newsletter will include:
- Updates on the progress of my website and YouTube channel.
- Exclusive crafting tips and insights.
- Highlights of upcoming deals and resources to support subscribers on their own creative journeys.
I’m excited about using this as a way to engage directly with my audience and build stronger connections.
YouTube: The Countdown Is On
Another big focus has been getting closer to launching my YouTube channel. These past two days have been about ensuring that every element—from the landing page to the first video—is set up for success.
- Enhanced Traffic Flow: The YouTube landing page is fully integrated into my website, making it easier for viewers to find tutorials, materials, and tools.
- Content Prep: I started making my first video and its layout is ready, I am building this from short videos and stills which will be focusing on a mix of education and visual appeal to showcase every crafting detail.
I truly believe that hands-on projects are best learned visually, and my channel is designed to give viewers confidence and inspiration. I was going to post it as my homework from Jay's previous week's lesson but decided against it as I was not yet 100% happy with it. A few technical issues with lighting and script being the main ones.
Engaging My Growing Audience
One of the most energizing moments this week was realizing that 89 people had already signed up through my website’s form. This discovery not only highlighted the potential of my audience but also motivated me to improve the way I connect with them.
To build on this momentum, and with Mr Chat guiding me every step of the way, I completely redesigned the sign-up form inside Registration Magic. While it was a time-consuming process, it was worth every moment. The redesign focused on:
- Improved Functionality: The form is now more intuitive and user-friendly, making it easier for visitors to subscribe.
- Better Design: A clean and engaging layout ensures the form feels welcoming rather than intrusive.
- Enhanced Notifications: I’m now set up to track new sign-ups more effectively, ensuring I never miss an opportunity to connect with my audience.
This redesign is a key step toward fostering a stronger connection with my community, and it’s laying the foundation for better engagement as I move into newsletters and exclusive updates.
Looking Forward
Here’s where my focus is heading next:
- Launching the Channel: My first YouTube video will go live soon, and I’m committed to making it a showstopper.
- Completing the Directories: The materials and tools directories will become essential resources for both my website and YouTube strategy.
- Connecting with My Audience: From newsletters to exclusive updates, I’m planning more ways to engage and support my community.
Final Thoughts
Progress isn’t always linear, but every step forward brings new clarity and energy. From technical hurdles to creative breakthroughs, the past two days have been filled with opportunities to learn, grow, and prepare for what’s next.
I watched nearly all of Jay's Pinterest Class before sleep took me I missed the end. But what I did see I found very valuable.
A huge thanks to the WA community and ChatGPTyet again for helping me navigate these challenges and accelerate my journey. If you’re curious about how these tools can support your goals, don’t hesitate to ask—I’d love to share more!
Oh, one last point I nearly forgot, even if Chat GPT tells you that it doesn't matter how long the string is, it was wrong it does. That can slow down your response times considerably.
Good night from me.
Rob
