How Wealthy Affiliate Simplifies Website Building (And Why It Beats Page Builders)
Today, I had a moment that made me realize just how much I underestimated some of the built-in advantages of Wealthy Affiliate (WA). While working on my website, I found myself spending way too much time adding alt text to every image—something that's critical for SEO but easy to overlook. This experience opened my eyes to how WA quietly handles so many important details that can overwhelm you on other platforms.
The Hidden Gems in Wealthy Affiliate- SEO Guidance Built-In: WA offers tools and prompts that make SEO easier, like reminding users to add alt text or optimize content—something I truly appreciated today.
- Seamless WordPress Integration: WA's WordPress hosting is straightforward, making setup and updates far easier than juggling external hosting providers.
- All-in-One Platform: From hosting to training, keyword research to support—WA bundles everything into one place, saving both money and time.
- And the step by step training really aligns with step by step building of a site, so don't skip classes, go over it as many times as you need to.
I initially thought using a page builder like Beaver Builder would give me more control and customization. While it does offer advanced design features, I quickly learned that these tools come with a steep learning curve. Without dedicated time to study and practice, it can and will feel overwhelming.
- Steep Learning Curve: Page builders require significant time to learn, especially for beginners.
- Distractions from Core Goals: Customizing layouts and features can distract from content creation and SEO, which are far more important early on.
- Hidden Costs: Many page builders and add-ons come with extra fees, unlike WA's all-inclusive model.
If you're just getting started, focus on mastering the basics—content creation, SEO, and audience engagement. WA provides all the tools you need without needing to complicate things with third-party page builders. Once you're more experienced, then you can explore those tools. The main lesson I can now say I have learned is I should have repeated many of the early classes, but I did feel a little overwhelmed at the time.
Another Example
I have become quite adept at using Rank Math, but trying to use that today with Beaver Builder, I nearly blew a gasket. and it wasn't because of Rank Math. Clue!
Final ThoughtsToday taught me the real value of keeping things simple. Wealthy Affiliate's built-in tools and training are designed to help you grow steadily, without unnecessary distractions or costs. For anyone starting their online business journey, WA is a solid foundation to build upon.
I bet some of you have had similar experiences where things so simple have made all the difference in your workflow. I'd love to hear your stories!
Keep on learning.

I'm all for keeping things simple Rob.... and having everything under one roof here certainly helps! :-)
Well, Rob... If we don't experiment a bit we learn less. But KISS is a key for many things marketing.
By the way, there's a setting in Rank Math that will automatically createAlt text from the file name if you choose to use it. So if you make sure the filename is what you would add as Alt text then you can save a lot of time.

OK, Rob
Take a look at Rank Math / General Settings / Images / Turn on the toggle and the next parameter for me is aset as "%title%%sep%%focuskw%."
Any questions?
