Changing professions.

Hi Everybody! I am so excited to be a part of Wealthy Affiliate. I felt it was time to change professions. Doctors told me it was time to hang up my clippers due to health reasons. I guess standing on my feet for a quarter of a century as a Master Barber had taken its toll. I loved cutting hair and being a barber but the thing I loved the most was taking care of people. Thousands over the years. They become my family and I become their confidant. I cherish helping people fix their broken hearts and loving on them. Not in the physical sense but in the spiritual and emotional sense.

This news of being disable sent me into a tailspin that could have ended me, There were many, many tears and deep depression. But thanks to WA I have away that I can continue to love people and even share my experience, strength and hope with the whole world now. I could not have reached near as many people from behind the chair. This is wonderful for me because I love people. I must admit the opportunity to make a little money in the process doesn't hurt my feelings either. However, as I started putting together my first website my heart poured out on the pages and the desire to love and heal people took over. Money became a distant second. This has helped me in so many ways. It is so much easier to write if you are writing about your passion. Mine is healing hearts.

I have not allowed the lust for $$$$ to be my driving force and it has somehow made this journey much more meaningful to me. The money will come. I am told that when I finally start monetizing my site people will love spending money with me because they are helping themselves while supporting me. This feeling like a win / win situation.

I am no longer depressed. I am so happy because when I go to bed at night I feel like someone may have found healing, peace, sobriety, acceptance, love or just one more day of life. I miss the barber shop but I have been blessed with a way to reach so many more people in need. I am 59 years old but for some reason the 18 to 40 crowd seem to respond to me. So in closing, if I have any advice for any of you in Wealthy Affiliate world it would be this; try to wrap a little bit of your heart and love in whatever your website is about. There are far too many people chasing $$$$. Don't be afraid to give. Thank you, Kyle and Carson for starting WA. I probably ask too many questions at times but at least you know what WA and the WA family has meant to me.
