Choosing a website type can be tricky. I know I totally suffered from Squirrel Niche-itis when I joined WA. But what it came down to for me was focussing in on something I already new about AND had a solid knowledge base to draw from easily.

When I did that I was flooded with ideas - enzyme therapy, aromatherapy, the power of hydration, dangers of fad diets etc. Having over 20 years as an evidence-based holistic wellness practitioner crams tons of wellness topics into your brain.

You will have your own experiences - maybe parenting girls or rearing boys or writing code or doing voice over work. Think about that one thing everybody asks you to tell them more about and that my friend could be YOUR first niche topic.

Next I had to choose just 2. They way I process information I work best when I "bounce" between 2 or 3 projects with supporting or similar tasks.

Another option for choosing a website type would be to make a list of things you really want to learn about and choose a topic from that list. Your entire website will be an organic, authentic expression of you and your niche will naturally flock to your site. That is actually my plan for devleoping my site specific to marketing WA.
