That's what the favicon for a wordpress site looks like. You can create your own graphic and upload it in your theme (if your theme has this option) or you can do this through a plugin too.
For instance, if you go to Facebook.com, you'll see their logo which looks like an 'f" in that same location.

Actually, that's the favicon for a site rubix site, not wordpress.
