Hey Rick,
You should NOT ever be using Amazon images where you have their images in your WordPress > Media Library. How To PIn Amazon Affiliate Product Images - The Right Way As for all your images in WordPress being missing, it sounds like you may have deleted them.
This is where backup files come in REAL handy. If you have a recent backup file of your website, you could try restoring your website with that... or reach out to SiteSupport: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support to have them restore your website for you.
If you have recently added NEW posts, make sure you copy those to a Word document BEFORE any backup restoration happens so that you won't lose your recent post or page.
Hope this helps you.
Thank you Trish for getting back with me. I believe I did what you said NOT to do with the images. I did take screenshots of the Amazon images and now that I think back I may have deleted the other images from my Wordpress media file.
All a part of learning :) Thanks again Trish...you were VERY helpful
Rick
The media file is where WordPress images must remain if you want them to stay posted and published on your posts and pages.
If you have backed up your website using FTP access, this is where correcting this issue will be easier, as you would only need to find those image files and upload them to the appropriate folders and VOILA... your posts and pages would automatically be restored.
But... if you don't know how to do that then SiteSupport is your only other option.
That's good to know.....I am sure now that I did delete them from my media file. Where do I access FTP? I am not a technical person...lol
If you don't know how to access FTP then you obviously have never backed up your files using FTP access. Thus your only choice is to contact SiteSupport
Looks like your in the best of hands with Trish Rick very knowledgeable lady!! site support as she wisely suggests should hopefully get you back up and running all I came in to say what about your pics in media file...Good luck!

Hey Trish :)
I was watching the training from the link you sent me on adding Amazon images the right way, and I am unclear as to where to place the Amazon image code....it was not clear as to where to paste the code in the video.....could you help with that?
Hey Rick,
Lynne clearly states what she is doing from 1:55 minutes into her video and again, clearly states WHERE she is placing her Amazon image link at 2:13 minutes into her video.
It might be better if you enlarge the training video by clicking on area shown in the screen print below... and watch it over again. Once you have completed the video, and you want to return your browser to "normal", simply click on your Esc key on your keyboard... upper left on your keyboard.
Then you can see a lot easier, exactly what Lynne is doing.

What happened to all of my images in wordpress?

Good Morning Rick,
As Trish has said never delete photos from your media file.
I often use private photos for my WA posts and they are very "heavy" To make my media file lighter I had the brilliant idea to delete these photos. It turned out it was a very bad idea as suddenly all my WA posts showed big empty spaces. It was a big job hunting for these photos and putting them back on the media file to then reinstall them again on the WA posts.
Stay safe and healthy,

Hi Taetske,
I wondered the reason behind why someone would delete pics from media files...I have to on occasion copy from my media files and back into my computer system files where they originally resided to use in social media only that makes it more important that media files must be intact.
Thank you for providing a reason that pushes one into that decision albeit a very unwise one as you describe.
Have a good Sunday!!

The reason the images were deleted from my media file was on account of ignorance on my part. I just didn't realize that they needed to remain in the media file even after being added to a post or page.
I am pretty new at all of this stuff, but am learning from the mistakes I make.:)
Thanks for your response Taetske :) This is but another learning experience.....Your input is appreciated.
That's how we all learn Rick from our mistakes not from our successes...give me my mistakes I welcome them as they teach me far more than what i do right....ha ha
Stay safe and take care! ;)

Hang in there Rick, that is the way I learned my best lessons. Back in the mid-90s, there were no instructions. Learning by mistake was a given, and lessons long remembered too. ;-))
