I want to let everyone know that Internet content is now viewed more from a mobile device such as a phone or tablet vs. a desktop or laptop. What does this mean?

Well first of all you should view your website from a phone or tablet after you have created it. Verify that it loads correctly and you can view the home page in one screen without running off of either side. I believe most of the themes that are available in Wordpress are already optimized for a mobile device. What you might find out is that you are not able to navigate from your home page to your other pages on a mobile device.

One way to fix this is to create a menu. Inside Wordpress, you can do this by navigating inside your admin Dashboard to Appearance and then Themes. Inside this tab you can create a menu. Make all of your other pages sub items under your home page in the same menu. Kyle explains menus here:

This will place a menu drop down box on your home page and then you will have the ability to navigate to other pages. This works OK for simple web sites but there may be other ways for more complex website structures.
