One of the more important skills in life is: know how to learn. One never knows when is going to need a skill, no matter the age; learning new stuff will always be important. Here are some tips I've found to be very useful when it comes to develop a new skill and learn new stuff.

Habit #1: customize your news feed of every social media you may use

Social media can be your worst enemy or your best friend when it comes to learn; what that means is that you could be easily distracted with much stuff, let the time runs and basically waste your time. On the oher hand, there are tons of valuable information. The advice is to customize your feed news so that you only get news/posts/videos related yo what you want to learn. This way you only will find useful content and you will avoid procrastinating.

It is OK to have fun a little while and relax watching something makes you laugh, take time to do this at the end of the day; this is the moment when you have less energy, and it is okay to take a moment to relax and have fun.

Habit #2: Plan your day

Take a few minutes in the morning to think what you want to work on. Prioritize tasks so that you do first the most important. At the end of the day do the same, take a moment to think about your performance, if you did what you were supposed to, and start planing the next day. By failing to prepare, preparing to fail.

Habit #3: Take notes

You do not need to have to write down in a paper, it's better to have important notes online so that you can access anywhere with an internet connection (google drive, dropbox, onedrive, etc.). The important thing is to take notes, you can save the link of a useful blog post, to video you thik is useful, screenshots, pages of books, or anything you may consider important.

Habit #4: share what you are learning

No better way to develop a skill than teaching others. Try talking to friend about what you are learning, also try teaching someone what you already know. When we talk to friends about something, it's easier to remember it since we are "practicing" and having a good time.

Habit #5: Don't get overwhelmed.

It's good to work and take it seriously, but do not abuse that. You could get frustrated and feel very stressed; it's important to avoid that because it can make you quit. Take a break once in a while, eat healthy and try to excercice. Believe or not, eating healthy and doing excercice can help a lot because it's good for the brain and your body. And you will end up looking better!

Those are my humble advice to learn new things. I decide to share this because, as a beginner wealthy affiliate member, it's important to be open-minded and learn new things. For example, I didn't know much about word press, plug ins, SEO, social media... nobody borns being good at something, but everybody can become good at!

This has been a quick and direct to the point post, but hope you found something useful in this post. If you have more recommendations, please share them in a comment! What do you think it's the most important habit when it comes to learn new skills?

Hi Rique, Some really good advice and tips, if I were to add anything it would be practice, practice, and then practice again those new skills until they become second nature, thanks for sharing your insights.

Good to know you like the tips. I definitely agree with you, it's very important to practice.

All the best! :)
Rique.

Thanks for sharing as I am reflecting on what habits should I embrace for myself.
