Our world currently works with electricity generated by man.
And while it does not seem that we will be without electricity in the short term, that does not mean that it is a sustainable resource.
Power plants emit air pollution daily, which means that generating electricity is one of the main causes of greenhouse gas emissions in the US. UU
Solar energy is working to combat that. The idea is simple: use a natural resource, the sun, to obtain electricity instead of non-renewable resources.
In addition to pointing out the occasional set of solar panels on the roof of a mansion, many of us ignore the advances that solar energy has made in recent years.
Here are two new technologies based on solar energy:
Highways with solar energy
TOKYO HAS RECENTLY ANNOUNCED PLANS to build solar roads to help his 2020 Olympic Games become an ecological event. These experimental roads are made with solar charging panels that are covered in a special resin, according to the newspaper El Independent.

Cars can drive on these durable roads while panels generate electricity for adjacent communities.

Japan's solar road was installed in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven store in Sagamihara, Kanagawa prefecture, in May 2018. The store manager has high hopes for development: "The solar road system can generate 16,145 kilowatts electricity hour per year, which covers approximately 9% of all the electricity consumed by the store. "

And in China, the world's largest producer of solar energy, a photo voltaic highway recently promised a new future for clean energy (until the thieves stole one of the panels, perhaps).

Last year, solar-powered pavement technology was also tested along Route 66. If roads that use solar technology work, it could help encourage the use of clean energy in the US. UU In fact, the Jefferson City News Tribune reports that the LED solar panels along the famous highway "will be used to generate electricity for the Welcome Center on Route 66".

According to Solar Roadway, the company behind this technology, the solar-powered pavement along Route 66 can generate clean energy and also has LED thermal bulbs that can melt snow during the winter.

Solar energy that is used in what we wear.
Solar Energy goes much further than watches with solar energy. In 2016, the textile industry discovered that solar panels can be sewn into cloth panels. Solar textiles can not only increase the renewable energy that is collected, but they can also increase the number of solar devices in your home. For example, these solar textiles can be sewn into curtains, tablecloths and even car upholstery, which allows heated seats to run on renewable energy.

Solar innovation is not going anywhere. In recent years, we have made solar energy an integral part of everyday life, literally weaving it into the clothes we wear.

Rikcag,
It would seem that solar energy is every where now. We have one of the largest hospitals here and half of it, at this time is run by solar energy.
Some of our schools are to. Its amazing to see all the panels our town has to help run some of the businesses here as well. Several of our hotels have solar panels covering the roof.
Great post rick.
Carol

Thanks for sharing.

I myself have a large Solar Panel on my roof. I love your Niche.
