The story so far .
In a galaxy far, far away there was a man, with a determination to surpass his own expectations and see where life could take him on this rocky roller coaster called LIFE !
OK, a bit dramatic I know, but I guess it got your attention (lol)
Really what I wanted to do here was give a bit of an update with my progress so far and perhaps keep coming back either to this post or adding new ones in the future.
But as we enter into the second month already (Yep, it's February guys) of 2017, I thought it would be the perfect time to look at what I've achieved so far.
Well first things first - My drive and determination to build a successful site (or two( has not dwained, whereas I would have usually been bored and looking for something else to try and make money - The thing is, I see people here who have stuck the course for the long term and realized that they are the successful ones.
See what other people are doing and emulate their success !
I've also realized that I'm not as eager to 'rush the process' this time ... I now understand that building a web business from the ground up, takes time and that anything worth doing, is worth doing right and well.
And this time I am enjoying the whole process a lot more - I'm actually enjoying writing (which I never thought I would) and creating content that hopefully has a little of my personality within each post I create.
Although I do get bored quickly (I think it's just my nature), I do have 2 sites I'm working on .... Now I know I should have stuck to just the one, but I never do anything by halves, so I set up two and so far, so good, I am managing to add new posts every couple of days or so, to both sites.
I do other work online as well, such as creating promotional, training videos for people, so when I'm not working on those, I dedicate my time to creating new content.
I had originally set out with the intention of outsourcing the content creation part of my sites, as I didn't think I was a writer (I still don't really, but just write as I speak) and I think that is key when it comes to creating interesting blog posts which people can relate to - Just be yourself and don't try to be someone you're not - Another big mistake I used to make in the past !
Anyway, coming back to content creation - I am finding that I now enjoy writing, as I just let the words form in my head and I put them down onto my virtual paper.
So what have I created so far.
Liveyourhealthylifestyle.com - from 14th Dec 2016 to 2nd Feb 2017, I created 27 blog posts (some of these are short recipes, but nevertheless it's content that may be of benefit to my visitors)
Thataffiliatemarketingguy.com - from 23rd Dec 2016 to 2nd February 2017, I have created 16 blog posts, averaging between 1000-1500 words per post
Now 43 blog posts in a month to a month and a half on two websites, is something I am proud to have achieved.
Hopefully the content that I've created for these sites are proving useful and helpful to my visitors and that they are enjoying reading my content.
One of the key things I've also learned going back through the training, is that you don't have to force a product down someone's neck either, but instead - gently recommend ! Don't come across as a pushy salesman, but instead let them know it's what you use and then let them make up their own mind !
Have you seen yourself in any of the situations I mentioned ? What lessons have you learned from your own content creation ?
Drop me a message below and let me know your story ...
Take care - Richard
