The time to change is now !

I just wanted to share my thoughts about choosing a niche. I recently returned to wealthy affiliate after abandoning it a number of years ago ...glad to have come to my senses and returned !!

I started the training and was uncertain of what niche to choose so I felt that I could and was interested in promoting WA, Jaxxy and Site Rubix ,

• my site is up and running after 3 weeks on the WA platform
  
• I have been approved for Google adsense
  
• I am starting to get traffic things are starting to look up
  

I attended Kyle's webinar the other evening .. 7 factors "Secret Sauce" Thank you for your sharing your time Kyle

He made a lot of good points about what it takes to truly succeed, and I am now understanding what he meant in the training by choosing a niche that you are passionate about. While I feel that I could continue on for a short period promoting and writing about affiliate marketing etc .

I am choosing to take Kyle' s advice ... which was something like this ,

If you don't think you can be engaged in writing content for the niche you have chosen then SWITCH NOW ..

Definitely not word for word, but this is how I interpreted it, for those who missed Kyle s webinar here is the link.

I have a dealt with residential housing a good part of my life in one way or another after leaving the logging industry in a small coastal community in British Columbia .

I worked in

1. residential construction for 5 years
   
2. Realtor with Remax for 5 years
   
3. Owned and renovated 12 homes in the last 35 year
   
4. Licensed home inspector 3 years and current,
   
5. done general Handy Man tasks most of my life
   
6. Jack of all trades MASTER of None
   

So as you may have guessed I am switching into a niche that I feel I can write decent content about. I have always chosen to take a path of monitization being the driving factor, Kyle made a great point in his webinar the other night ( which I already knew ) but hearing it again was like someone slaps me in the face >

Offer real value by helping people out with what ever problem they are facing .

This is so easy to forget .. at least for me, as I do try to offer value in my writing or post ideas but then go down the rabbit hole where my focus changes to SELLING.

I have now made a large simple sign that is sitting beside my computer as a reminder of what I intend my focus to be when writing content "VALUE "..

Just FYI I have chosen the home maintenance tips niche, I realize that I should probably narrow down my niche selection but for now I will go in this direction /
