Was I right or Wrong?
Ok, part question...Part rant!
I'm guessing lots of people on here are like me. They've got those friends/family members who just DON'T GET IT!
Well I've just got off the phone with my Mum!?????? (I'm almost 40yrs old BTW)
She was upset...Nay, heartbroken at the implication on my website that she and my family have been un-supportive.
Now, my website is around 20 pages (inc sub pages), around 30-40,000 words and is contributing towards full time income I'm making each week.
She delivered (on behalf of both parents), not 1 word of support or praise?! Not a congratulations, nothing! Despite this, I have changed the wording ever so slightly to avoid any conflict or offence. (where it now says "those around me", it did say "family").

Was I right to make the change? When the phone call today, kinda proves exactly the point I was making?
I'd be interested to know your thoughts or what you guys find from your family's?
It'd be easy for me to say that I don't care what they think, but, I do. Despite their holding me back from a number of amazing business decisions over the years (and seeing my friends go on to massive success without me).
Anyways...That was a 'heart on your sleeve' type moment. I'll try to avoid many more of those.

I totally get what you are saying and have similar myself, my parents accept i do what i do, but are not anywhere near as supportive as they can be, maybe its a age generational thing, who knows. What i do know though is although i do care, i am not going to let it hold me back, and neither should you.
