Do Milestones Matter?
Hi,
I've taken a few days out and a bit of time to refresh my brain but I was so excited when I logged on this morning!
I have my 100th Follower!
Now I remember when I started here at WA and I saw the rankings, the network, the followers and following...I'm not embarrased to say I thought "Pah...who cares, I just want to learn how to make money!!!"
Well I was like both of these guys ^^^^^^^^^ I was an IDIOT!
Luckily I realised that really quickly. See I realised that those numbers aren't just for the sake of it...They actually mean something. The strength of your network is the backbone of your success and the ranking system shows how much strength you are giving others!
Once I got that, I started setting myself little goals.
A few weeks ago I aspired to reach the top 5000. (I thought that was a huge achievement at the time and even celebrated with my Mrs once I did it!!!)
*sidenote...If the 'Newbie' version of me who joined a few weeks back had seen me celebrating something so trivial, he'd have thought i'd gone nuts! But it was important to me at the time!
Anyways, as I write this I'm celebrating 100 followers & ranked in the top 800, which I'm really happy with and look to build stronger as I move forward.
So what are my goals that I'm using to do this?
- Contribute daily
- Comment on at least 3 sites
- Give at least 3 lots of feedback a day
- Add a blog per week (I need to be stricter on myself with this)
- Respond to at least 1 question a day
By doing those things, I find my online life is enriched with new contacts, friends, knowledge and experience...And that all comes for free!! We pay for the tools and resources here at WA, but what we do within the community is our choice and it costs nothing.
Thanks for letting me share folks. I look forward to more milestones and share success with you all.
#WinTogether
Rich.
Oh...P.S. To answer my original question, Do Milestones Matter? Absolutely! Big or small, set a goal, hit a milestone and give yourself a pat on the back. You deserve it.

That second image is supposed to be a GIF of a victory dance but it's not working? Oh well...take it from me, it was awesome. :) :)
I like that: win together. Otherwise it's a hollow victory really isn't it? I like your goals; I've always loved the quote "I am because we are". Lots of success and happiness to you.
