Once upon a time, I used to bounce from interest to interest. When did it all change?

My son Alex and his family visited today. I got a handful of children (two granddaughters and a grandson) that always put a smile on my face. It was "grampa this, grampa that" in a run for affection. I just loved it.

The day was slightly on the hotter side, say 103 F, but it didn't seem to phase the grand kids as we set up their swimming pool. Oh, they were all very helpful getting towels, listening to their mother, showing their swimsuits off.

As the kiddos frolicked in the water my son and I had a nice Texas barbecue and while the food was great the opportunity to chat with my youngest son, 26, was even better.

The day passed, we all had supper together and afterwards as I proudly watched all my kiddos, young and younger, move about I wondered...
