Do this if you want to succeed - forget about the money

As I get ready for bed after another successful day working on my online business, I think about the many of you who are still struggling to write content for your blogs and I thought I would share something that I was reminded of just recently.

If you want to be a successful with your website you have to forget about the money.

Being too focused on making money can take away your joy.

You will be in this for the long haul and you will need to be able to enjoy the journey or else you will give up. So instead of focusing on the monetary goal try to have some fun.

I don’t know about anybody else, but for me, writing back to back review posts can drag on your nerves to the point where you don’t want to write anymore.

So I have devised a strategy.

I have a category on my site called ‘Just for fun’.

Every post I write under this category is out of my head, just for fun. Whatever, I’m thinking as it relates to my niche. No reviews, no product comparison just everyday relatable stuff that are on my mind.
These posts turned out to be more shareable on social media and tend to get more engagement. There is no money to be made by product recommendations or anything, and they are not for search engines, they are for me.

I’ve been able to keep up my writing momentum because of this.

Sometimes while I’m writing one of these non-review posts, ideas for reviews pop into my head and I stop and write reviews.
